    Long as there checks clear...

It is how I made my first vacation to Whistler BC, all expenses paid trip. the festival promoters wanted to impress the sponsors, so they had 2 of us fly up and do a proof of concept test, where we took a dozen RGB laser light units and aimed them at one pinpoint location on a mountain side 3 miles away so we could draw sponsor logos on the mountain during the festival. We pulled it off, and in the process made a lot of money for what was maybe 12 hours of work.

Couldn’t agree more. Don’t care what they do with their money as long as I’m getting paid. It’s Disney haha so I don’t think they’re going bankrupt or anything anytime soon.

Thats pretty cool that you guys did that. Love it!

Does anyone have the name of a shop that will cut steel pieces from drawings?

I thought there were some shops that you could send a drawing (Autocad or ??) and they would cut the pieces and send them to me.

I can't seem to find one online.

Decided to revamp the anchor winch for my boat.

Previously I had a Minnkota unit for pulling the anchor. They are rally only good for 25 pounds of anchor.

Here in Michigan, we need an anchor winch that can handle 50-100 pounds of weight. Most electric winches don't have the nuts to do this.

The power pack is a semi truck tarp retractor motor and worm gear. Very heavy duty.

This style of anchor winch is custom made here in the state, and they start out at around $900 adding the custom built gantry adds another 5 bills.

I still need to source a pulley. I just stuck an old lawn mower deck pulley on for demonstration.

And of course paint and wire it.PXL_20220815_141104281.jpg

Looks good. Is your boat deck strong enough to handle the forces that'll be applied with that long arm with heavy pitching of a wave/wake?

Heh. Now I see the scale of the boat and that it's already attached to a heavy platform. : ) Need more coffee I guess as I didn't see the 3rd pic before.

In addition there is a 1/4" plate under the deck being used as a backer. The force is really spread out.

Nice job ! Where do you find the Winch?

The good old days when you pulled the tarp by hand then the hand cranks now electric winch.

I could see it would save wear and tear on your body .

FINALLY!, Primeweld got the TECMO PTM60 machine torch back in stock. It's the Italian version, versus the Chinese. $299.

I haven't had a chance to fire it yet. Wednesday (day off) will be first trial.

Gonna be nice to not worry about having a 90 degree angle to cutting surface, and also having my hand torch free for non-CNC related cuts.

    Awesome!

I had to take a second look! I thought I was looking at a pic of my own shop!

I have a similar lift. My table gets a new location every time I use it.

I know this isn't the usual fare for this thread, but we ran across this as we were exploring the Wyoming BDR. Thought folks might appreciate it. There is at least, a little welding.

    4 run, 2 don't
And for military, you can have a discount code issued to you as well.

One time use so others don't go abusing it.

One of my project zero turn mowers showed up with holes wallered out.

$165 and no guarantee it was the correct wheel.

    No saving this wheel, but...
    TBC...
