    I dont know much about welding, but they looks like good welds. They might be a little cold, but i dont really know im talking out of my ass.

    It looks like you're off the joint for the first bit of the weld but otherwise, they look good. So does the table. What are you going to top it with?

    IDK if this has been mentioned before, but for emergency trail welding I read something similiar to this in 4x4 magazine. This guy is using 3 batteries but in the mag they only used 2.

    What's the thickest you can weld? And i assume it's a 110 right

    Its a 90 amp welder and on there website it claims up to 1/2" ? sounds kinda big to me.

    I'm interested but don't know if ive got the funds. I swear there's gotta be 500 threads of me saying that over and over haha. I'm a full time athlete and I'm still in high school, and I do *try* and save for college but we all know where the money goes ;). I really do appreciate the people on this site for all the help and guidance. I'll shoot you a pm tomorrow Jason, I'm headin to bed right now...nothin like wakin up at 4:30 for swim practice

    Thanks man, yea its hard for that first bit, im useing one of those cheap 20 dollar welding hoods so im blind until i start a bead.
    Im going to top it with a 3x4ft sheet of 1/4in

    Relentless Armored! Too many others to list.
    Most likely that thick only with multiple passes to get the heat needed to penetrate. I still wouldnt trust that small of a welder to do 1/2" though.

    I got one of those auto-darkening hoods. What a difference it made in starting. I was blown away.
