    Awesome to see the feedback here. Like I said @Kwikvette, I'm willing to pay for tooling.

    Please keep in mind that it doesn't have to be perfect since it'll be buried in my bumper, but I appreciate the commitment to great craftsmanship. I just got home and wasn't able to get the parts shipped today, but will get them out tomorrow.

    Naw you're good, no need to hurry

    The bit, just like all my other tools I own, only add to my arsenal in providing work whether it's fixing or creating something

    Modified these grill cart legs. The old casters were welded on so I cut them off. Whipped up these base plates to have the new and future casters bolted on instead of welded on. Welded em to the legs and job done.

    Little bit of cutting, although it got interrupted when my work clamp started to smoke

    My fault for pushing the clamp up to the braided wire, but it lasted 2 years so no biggie

    20240328_115633.jpg

    Cut these pieces out, still need to model and cut more

    Lol nah the material was damaged from previous replacements and super thin compared to the plates I made. So I had to do a lot of filling and build up quite a bit in a few areas.

    I'm going to be making him set of new legs with thicker material. I'll also draw up the base plates in fusion to have them ready to go next time. I'll tig weld that whole thing and take close ups of those lol

    @Gen1FTMFW

    Got your goodies!

    Gonna draw them up tonight

    20240329_191331.jpg

    The countersink bit would be 3/8", but thinking I'll find a metric bit for drilling the hole since 5/32" is a hair smaller

    Edit: Test piece done; holes will manually be drilled to prevent any hardening

    How do I calculate ideal weld bead size? I know it depends on factors like the thickness of the material but how do I do the actual calculations?

    Follow the blueprint; it will have specifications for the face, toe, etc.

    lol. if it breaks, it was too small. if you don't think 1 pass will hold, make 3. if 3 won't hold, add a gusset, make 5.
