    Ok thanks. Think I had the 211 on the lower end of the 1/8" setting. I have a bunch more to weld up so ill play with it

    Just an FYI, my 211 auto set is far from that. I weld at relatively low heat but the wire speed needs to match.

    Had a leak in a storm shelter that we installed that i went and welded up today.[​IMG]

    On a similar note, does anyone no why a mig would arc all the time, like even when the trigger isnt pulled. Bout burnt my eyes right off the ba. ha.
    [​IMG] painted with with roofing sealant to match, and make doubly sure it doent leak ;)

    Miller generator trail blazer machine. It used to work fine but the last few times at work (i found out after this came to my attention) it is alway hot. I was thinking the gun may have a short or something, its seen a little abuse over the years it looks like.

    hey guys, im new to welding and would like some recommendations for an auto darkening hood. ill be welding for fun and not that often. would like to keep proce of the hood below $75. i know i wont get a high quality hood but i cant justify spending a couple hundred dollars on a high end hood that wont get used that often. thanks in advance

    My problem with them is the delay after welding my eyes tend to hurt. If your only going to do little welding just get a passive shade and throw in a gold lens. I know I've said it before:D
