3 spools of wire and you need to change the liner? Seriously? I've changed my liner 1 time in 20 years. 2, 44 lbs. spools pers year. You must have some pretty dirty wire.

I clean my liners before I change them. I use any solvent that cuts oil works fine. Tiny funnel, pour the solvent into the liner and let it run thru it. Pretty amazing how black the solvent will be when it comes out the other end. Compressed air thru it to dry out the liner.

If the liner is non-direction, try switching it around. The bad section that was near the torch will now be near the drive wheels and the liner will be straight in that section.

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
it doesn't matter how dirty it is most of the time it's a kink that causes it to bind. We change them when they start to act up. We burn 150lbs of wire a month in each welder so we do change them often.

Also how are you getting solvent to pass through the liner? It's like a tight spring I don't see how you can
Clean it that way. Are you talking about cleaning the torch lead?

Nope, just take the liner out and pour the solvent in one end and let it flow out the other end. Sometimes I use no funnel at all.

Why replace something that isnt broke? Clean it and go back to work.

Any fabricator knows that profits need to be maximized. Replacing things that dont need replaced cost money.

We arent exactly getting rich doing the welder thing.

But it's also quicker easier to just replace it and time is money in a shop. I'd rather just slide a new $15 liner in and be done with it in a few minutes rather than mess with solvent and having to go somewhere with the used liner that a flammable liquid on the floor isn't a hazard.

Built a 4'x6' grill out of a big ass drum. Did a 60/40 split. Put it on a trailer with light towers all around. What made it last for many yrs l, was out the side we made a hatch and roll out 1/4 drum that caught the ash so the main part didn't rust to poop

Grinding wheels. ALU,steel, stainless. So far not so bad. Doesn't throw as much dust and not as many grind mark grooves lol

Yeah it is. There was a horrible glare coming in the shed doors so i closed them as much as i could and used flash. I was a little worried it was too narrow, but it fits nicely. Its about a half in inset from the fender flares but pretty happy how close i got just being able to eyeball measurements.

1st prerunner bumper I've done. Finished it yesterday. Its set up to be LT/Fiberglass width. I was trying to get the guy to let me do a low hoop and move the LED to the top of the bumper but he insisted on keeping it behind his grille
