Anything welding

Looks good. I'm not a fan of the LEDs behind the grill either.

 

Hey what do yall do with ur fender liners? I thought id trim em and screw them into the sheet below the headlight

 

I scrapped them lol

 

Even with stock fenders? I assumed as much with glass fenders but wasnt sure

 

My truck has thin metal cut to shape and rivets holding it in. (Not done by me)

So i 60° the ends and bent the bottom up to cap the end. It sorta went like i thought but there was a half inch gap i had to fill. Used a 16 penny nail and some 7018s to fill the inside. And made 3 passes with 7018s on the outside and ground it down, this is as good as its getting, caulk and paint make it what it aint. Oh first attempt at vertical uphill with 7018, it sucks for those who dont already know.

 

So to you metal workers with more experience than myself.. how can I smooth/blend these welds? Flap disc wont get in there. Thanks in advance

 

An air angle grinder, or a 7" maybe. But it might not be an area where any grinder can get to and you kight have to deal with it

Some flanges I cut on my cnc and welded up for a carpenter. They're restaurant table pedestals.

 

Why you need to flex that inside weld for? Get a flap wheel drum and run on a die d

I like running a little on the hot side.

 

I tend to myself. I got custom to back stepping while welding

 

That's pretty much what I need. I tried to use a regular flap disc like that.. didn't work too hot haha.

Trying to work with the tools I have. No die grinder or any air tools for that matter

That's what I was thinking of trying. Have one of those cone shaped stones I could use

 

Get the thicker flap wheels and force it in there. Sometimes the plastic will get it done hehe lol

Haha smart ass. It's 22 guage sheet metal. It was an absolute bitch to weld at all. Should have gotten some thicker metal and some to back it with but you live and learn right?

Dont want to round the corners

 

Fiber disc. There's always good old fashioned hand tools
