Does Camburg even have a flux core in the building?

Thanks guys. Where I live theres plenty of nuke work to go around so I ended up at a local Plumber and Steamfitters Union after earning an Associates Degree in welding. Had never touched stainless until 8 weeks ago when I started training at the union. Kicked my butt at first but I'm not a fan of carbon anymore

Does anyone have any experience with a hydraulic vise clamp? I got one for free from work and it's not working, I'm wondering fj it's worth my time to try and fix it

Hydraulics are very simple. If it has the proper amount of fluid in it--> Either the pump is bad or the ram isn't sealed anymore.

Does anybody have any experience using an arc welder for aluminum? I know it can be done. I've heard of people doing it. I haven't done much welding in quite a while so I have a feeling it's out of my skill level. Just wondering if any of you have, and just general info on it.

    noooooosss!!!

Oh I agree, but its easy to lay perfect beads with a tig if you have perfect access to the joint. I was trying to find a beautiful turbo manifold but that was the best I could find.

For any of you guys in the market for a new welding hood, the Jackson W60 is awesome! I highly recommend it over even a digital elite. Especially for the price difference. It fits great, has a large viewing area, and the 4 light sensors work very well in tight spots.

Figured I would post this up, disregard the metal itself, just some scrap I was practicing on. Think my stick welds are doing alright though, let me know what you think, always looking to learn more. [IMG]
