Also in the same position as the welding on the vehicle.

So often it comes down to the person striking the Arc rather then the output of the machine.

Prep work and joint design is very important as well

Trying to free up some space in my mess of a garage, so I decided to knock out a cart that houses my Tig and my plasma together. Still need to make some hangers for the cables, that’s why I decided on the stainless bars so that I can weld brackets to them later.

If you do you should make it better. Otherwise that is too cheap not to just buy. I looked and it doesn't give a temp says 6 minutes to cook a pizza so im guessing its low like 450 500. Real pizza ovens are at like 800+ I think. Still cool for the trail would also make cookies.

    prob gets hotter than 700...
    from Amazon...

When firing your oven for the first time, it is advisable to run the burner on the 'High' setting for 20 minutes and then turn the oven off and let cool to room temperature. This tempers the oven and once cool is ready for use.

It is extremely important that your oven reach the ideal baking temperature before you begin using it. After lighting, run the oven on 'High' for 15 minutes, but no more than 20 minutes. This preheating will ensure that the internal oven and stone temperatures are hot enough for proper baking. The temperature gauge should read at least 700F (371 C) for 5 minutes before starting to cook.

I miss welding. I use to be a production welder/fabricator for a small SXS offroad company and it was one of the best jobs i've ever had. I do not miss busting my ass in AZ heat welding 8+ hrs a day. I was shoe'd in by a good friend who taught me the basics and I was lucky enough to hover over him for a week to learn the ropes. Once set free I found myself heavily into Mig welding.. I did have to play grind bitch for a bit which made me become a better welder as i fucking hate grinding and/or deburing. With-in a few months I was one of the Top welders @ the comp and my production numbers weren't the best & def not the worst but my welds, form fit and function was above everyone else. Its amazing how much of a difference in something fabricated is when the fabricator takes pride in every thing to produce that product.

During my employment at this fab shop I found myself stuck with the ugliest/least liked weld machine & table.. Both had seen lots of use with very little care/maintenance the last few years before my arrival and I revived the table & machine after some time.

Mostly welded 1 3/4" .060 and smaller/thinner. My machine was a Miller 350P and everyone hated it and loved the miller 252's.. Granted the 350P had a weird bernard gun that no one liked.. Either way heres some pics of my welds.

Nice Welds. I like how you layed them smooth vs stacking... Much Harder to do imo.

Each day the material would weld different, Being production i'd have to keep consistency as i would have to weld up a left or a right side too.. So i'd review gaps and after time knew where i was going to have gaps with what ever product i was welding and if the gap was tiny and machine/material was metling good i'd weld smooth, if i had gaps i'd have to weave and apply a pattern and make the weld bigger if one side had a small gap and other matching part have a 1/4" gap.. you know.. The hard part was 180* welds that had to start at the bottom and run up word back to down ward and so.. keeping weld convex and uniform.

Cool I didn't find that info. I want one BAD! Im just going to buy one.. the time it would take to think about how I would make one I would be better off buying one (maybe unless its a total POS). Time is money. Would be cool to make it more of a folding flat(ish) packed square version.

Exactly. All the little details. Takes a lot of practice to get consistently good at any position/fit thrown at you. They say "get comfortable" I say just weld it!

I've been wanting to try a 350p for aluminum welding. The pulse settings are supposed to make the welding process easier.

The 350p is awesome for aluminum. And even better if you set it up with a push/pull instead of a spool gun.

    I know.

That's my dream set up. I'm trying to get my local Air Gas to let me demo one of these units when I built my next drift boat.

    To bad your not closer

350P and the Aluma pro lite is a sweet set up

Do you know who your Miller rep is ?? They are the one who most often authorize the Demo units

Don`t do it you will never use the 30A again
