There are only a few smells I could live with out...gear oil is one of them.

I don't mind it. Must be the sulphur, AKA brimstone.

Haha a blessing and a curse having no sense of smell. Yes I hear ya on the gear oil. It is the stank of Satan’s butthole!! I dropped my gear oil into the catch pan one time and my daughter was outside with her little teady bear and dropped it in there. Washed it like 100 times and still couldn’t get the nasty smell out

I had a favorite t-shirt I was wearing changing some gear oil and only a few drops dripped on the shirt, after about 5 washes it still smelled and I ended up throwing my favorite t-shirt away.

Yep. That’s why now I always wear crappy clothes whenever I’m working on anything in the garage or anything on my truck haha. Even grease from metal and other little things you wouldn’t think would do a lot of harm can completely ruin your clothing

It smells the same as everything else to me so wouldnt know :) Thankfully (think thankfully at least) i was born without the sense of smell so its all i know. I know people (including my dad) who have lost the sense to smell in their adult life. My dad lost his working at a galvanizing plant in the late 60s/early 70s

Someone needs to bottle "body shop". I walk into a paint booth, and I'm done for an hour.

Acitone, MEK(methyl ethyl kill ya), Bondo, laquior thinner. I love all those smells.

New Tacoma or new girl...? Never mind.

Once again we strayed off topic. It happens so quick.

I can’t imagine not having my sense of smell. Chocolate chip cookies coming out of the oven is ridiculous!!

Guess you don’t know any differently though so it doesn’t matter much to you lol

Haha I always love when people find out I cant smell. Then its always them listing things they think smell awesome (fresh baked cookies, ect). Usually its prefaced by Ive never been able to smell. But yup never known any different so could really care less what people things smell like.
