Anybody have a good trick to square up angle iron? I'm building a workbench/cart and until it's finished I won't have a suitable table top available. The concrete in my garage is definitely not level or flat

Torch it and heat warp it. Extremely difficult to do properly and a possibility to ruin the piece, but it's fast and cheap.

Maybe use a piece of plywood as a flat surface to tack it together?

Seems like a good last resort to have in my bag of tricks... probably not something I should try just yet though :D

This I can do. Just tacking in place I shouldn't have too much to worry about that ply catching fire, right?

I doubt it, if it's just a tack it may brown the wood but no fire, Keep a fire extinguisher / water hose handy though :bananadead:

This was my first or second bead ever laid and I didn’t know a damn think about welding. I quickly learned that shit gets real hot! Sometimes I think I’m still learning this because I’m constantly burning myself.

I've already burned myself, glad to see that counts. Luckily I haven't torched anything else too badly

Got my mid skid fabbed up this evening. Still needs another center support and some finish welds but it’s complete for the most part. 5CD9A0AE-71C1-49D7-AE4B-2AAE8131990B.jpg

Double trouble too, if your steel slag isn't going down your shirt the asshole next to is sure to gouge in your direction and put white steel in your boots!

Couldn't justify the price if a burrito king. This one is a 4x48. So far works fine
