I’m going to look in to building a custom clamping mechanism I can bolt to my 4x6 bandsaw to achieve these weird angles. Havent had a chance to look at my saw since thinking up the idea so we’ll see how far it goes once I get in the shop.

 

Jerneyman do you have access to a milling machine? I would rough cut with a portable bandsaw or a sawzall and finish the cut on the Bridgeport.

 

Maybe one day, but not anytime soon. A Bridgeport would be a dream come true for this little garage/shop of mine.

 

Can you rough cut it with OA in a jig and then fine tune it with a bench disc sander?

 

I’ve already cut one, that’s the one pictured. I used an angle grinder and cutting wheel then cleaned it up as best I could with a flap disk. At this point, I don’t have a bench sander. That would help tremendously though in order to get that flat.

 

Messed around and did a fill plate like this on the table today. Think I’ll start offering fill plates like this along with the 3 centered holes one that I did before

 

Gonna make a grip strength machine like my gym has as my first welding project!
