Nothing crazy here, I made a propane burner so I can cook and fry stuff outside of the house. It uses a high pressure burner I picked up from Air Gas. I think I am going to add a "heat sheild" around the burner so It'll kinda direct the heat and block the flame from any wind.

Don’t forget some plate on the bottom of the legs so it doesn’t sink in the ground when you load it up

Good idea, I will do that today, but it'll usually be on concrete. Thanks!

I added feet and a shield around the burner.

If you've ever wondered what would happen if you threw your grinding wheel on a high speed router..... You'd die:eek:

If I’m in an enclosed space where the airflow isn’t good. I have a pass through garage that gets very good ventilation but if it’s raining or really cold I’ll close the doors and I’ll throw on my Miller half mask and it works very well. Nice and small too so it fits under your hood nicely.

If I'm welding in the garage, I usually close the side door and leave the garage open, then open the side door after welding to let air flow. Winter is coming and I'll probably be doing some garage welding. I'll give that mask a try.

The only time I've ever worn a mask while welding is if I'm welding galvanized metal. That white dust/smoke will hurt you.

Be careful using a plasma cutter or torch not to set your pants on fire :D It's only about the third time for me

I wear the Miller one @Shmellmopwho posted except I have the organic vapor filters and also wear it when spraying paint or chemicals with fumes.

I also wear it when grinding.

I have a 3m mask that I wear when I have a fair amount of welding to do, but if it’s just some tacks I don’t sweat it too much. I try to always wear one when I grind...my nose always thanks me later.

Most of my clothes are burned from years of welding plus they are just getting broke in anyway :D

    Same.

If any thing, catching my self on fire on a regular occurrence, I've really reduced my my panic response.

I don't even panic anymore. Others have commented this about me.

"Can you pour a bit of your beer on me to knock down the flames please?" Has happened more than once.
