Trust me I'm also disappointed haha thanks for the compliment on the fitment. This is my first time cutting/working with pie cuts

    Very good start.

1st, I think you need to reduce the amperage. To me it looks like the base metal is getting gouged out and not enough wire is being deposited.

2nd, turn on your camera flash. The pics on my end are a little dark.

Great start! I don't see it taking you long to be proficient.

Gotta agree looks like some major undercutting !!!

Might be travel speed to fast output just not dialed in just right .

Not spending enough time in the toes of the weld.

Doing the SAS the welding is easy the hard part is keeping everything square .

So many end up going down the road sideways the first time

It has happened since the first Flame and then Arc was struck I doubt it ever stops .

Though I know some Welders that should never attempt to ever do any fitting

It seems to work quite well for me . Having used only 2 bolts 1 side to recover more then a few times

I guess it would be possible to tear the front of the frame off the truck.

Then the front end of a 2wd drive truck might very well be different then what I have ever seen .

Never having seen a 2wd Tacoma up close and in person

It's way too much welding for me to have someone else do it. I can't afford to pay someone a bunch of money to weld up some temporary pipes. This is one of my intercooler pipes, I'm making them out of steel since that's all I can weld at the moment. I'm saving up for a tig machine and I'll redo these out of aluminum once I have it and switch to a bigger intercooler.

Like I said I'm not happy about it either lol but hey gotta work with what you got.

If the square-ness if off a little you can adjust it by altering the holes that the leafs sit in on the spring perches so it won’t crab walk. But only can be corrected this way if it’s off a small amount

is the reason I got into fabrication in the first place. You do you.

    :fistbump:

Same goes for mechanics, painting, construction, haircuts...

I might also just be a cheap guy though...

Lol same man. I learned to air brush rc car bodies for the same reason haha. I try to do as much as I can on my own. I'm just trying to not spend a ton of my own money on this build. I've been selling parts on the side to fund it and that money is all gone at the moment lol. So I gotta do some stuff myself.

I guess it is the people you are friends with very few of the ones I call friends don`t weld go figure.

The reason for my original comment.
