Its not based on what you can prove, it’s based on the nameplate rating of the device is, what other code sections, like the one I listed earlier that pertains specifically to welders set out for guidelines. However, a 50 amp receptacle on a 30 amp breaker is still a Code violation, and seeing how this is the welding thread, not the electrical installation thread, I don’t think I’ll continue this discussion and further. Have a good night.

This plastic chute is worn bad on this extra vacuum I got. It’s $80. No thanks!

Hammered it around a piece of pipe then turned a piece of pipe for the hose to connect to. Left a 1/16” lip so the clamp won’t slide off easily.

This is a different one. The first one was on the mower I bought, the guy had a second vacuum system (most of it) and I bought it for parts. This is the second one.

I've been mowing for a month. I got this to get leaves up in the fall. We have large willow oaks in our yard and leaves are awful. I had a zero turn mower, a riding mower and a trac vac I fought them with. I would mow/mulch them with the zero turn into rows then get the rider and trac vac and get them up. I bought this, sold all three of those and it cost me $425 to upgrade. I am very happy with it and I went from 3 engines and 10 tires to maintain to 1 engine and 4 tires.

Another set of sliders today with fill plates. This time I redesigned the fill plates for my DCSB sliders and made them slightly longer like my DCLB ones so they butt up next to each other and make it look more seamless. I think they look cleaner this way. Thoughts?

Looking good Ryan! That’s how I make mine. Sometimes if I’m feelin saucy I’ll weld and blend the seam too.

Hypothetical question - if you wanted to build a metal tube to replace this crappy bendy straw hose, where would y'all start?

anyone in the greater LA area have a 2" square tube roller. Need a 6 feet cord section with a 6" rise in the center in 11 gauge material. I use to get the service done at ramcast but they no longer doing it. Not looking to buy the tool but I may have to.

Just wanting to do it for looks or ?

With the alternator bracket like that you arent going to get much cleaner looks IMO.

But if you wanted to do it with metal, grab a mandrel bent 45 and mandrel bent 180. Then just follow pretty much the same line as the hose you have on now. With careful cutting/measuring you should just have 1 weld to do. And if you can I would bead roll the two ends just to help with leaking

Another option....use AN fittings and line. Would have to cut the nipple off the radiator and modify the thermostat housing and weld on the AN fittings. Then just make a hose.

Sort of for looks, sort of for reliability. The angle on that hose isn't ideal.

I could also possibly rework the alternator bracket, now that I think about it, which might make it possible to use an off the shelf hose.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll look into AN fittings as well.

I see those prices are the complete tables.

It all comes down to what sort of projects you get into.

are you going 24"x48" because of size limits?? To me that would be much to tiny for what I do.5089.jpg

I built my table from left overs
