Yea I would have to agree. There will be a big spare tire mounted there soon but nothing an occasional wash won’t fix, ha

Was the welder still on when you got it?

I just scrapped a few of our old trailers when the welders died the final death after the third engine rebuild.

Version 2 of my “overnighter” box for the tunnel of my sled. 1st one was 1/8” thick and a bit too big so it was hard to use when frozen to the sled.
This one is 1/16” thick and is easy to remove. Only showing the best weld of course :)

    "Overnighter". Lol. Sure.

What I used to put my sled "overnighter", never lasted overnight.

    Haha!
its actually holds emergency stuffs. Spending a night in the backcountry is no joke
As for size reference, it will hold 12 beers quite nicely

Given the Choice I would rather spend a unplanned night in the Back Country then in any Major City .

After months of researching/shopping (and years of wanting), finally brought home this used machine. I was so back and forth on a transformer versus an inverter machine that I was ready to pull my hair out. Scored this from an older gentleman that was the original owner of about 10 years. He was a hobbyist and said he’d be surprised if he had more than 50 hours on it. It’s in great shape and works perfect

I've got 5 I'm editing now. I have a channel but there's only drone vids there now. I'll be putting them up in the future. Just simple fab videos on how to make simple things, battery trays, jerry can holders etc.

Had a few bad shots come back on a shutdown I just worked. The plant fired the guys who busted out. I was left to fix the
Bad shots. They all came back good. One shop repair the others were field repairs and I couldn’t have a phone.

Well, today I was able to get back out and practice some more.

I picked up a UV safety screen so I can leave my garage door open and not have some random person look over and get flashed. Or have the wife come up unnoticed again..

Bit before I did ground down thenplate I first used to give a kinda blank slate again...
Plus curious how much porosity the above bead had...

    20201114_102334.jpg

You can see that there is some at the start on the right side...

    20201114_102331.jpg

    Bit ugly it was...

Not sure today's practice was much of improvement. But starting to see the difference in the arc with the foot pedal position and torch angle.

I am of course dipping tungsten like crazy or jabbing the filler rod into it. So getting experience recognizing how the contaminated tungsten reacts ...

    20201114_151837.jpg 20201114_153128.jpg 20201114_184700.jpg

Gotta learn to feed the filler rod through the fingers better..
