My wife also has the TSX (06) My Tacoma with 3"lift and 33's is quieter on the HWY than the TSX and I think as comfortable.
We do have 18's on the Acura but still should be Quieter in my opionion.

My only complaints about the tacoma.. No Dual Climate control- No Rear Disc Brakes-No Locking Tailgate- No memory Power Seats/mirrors.... But other than that its a great truck!

FYI i was looking at toyota.ca cause i didn't know if the specs were still the same such as short box double cab only available in stick long boxes are autos and sport is the only trd offered in double cab. From what i can tell its still the same but if you go to the general tacoma page and look at specs its all screwed up so you'd be best to go get some tacoma propaganda from the dealer to get the most accurate info.

The 09's do have the E-locker available. Atleast in lower 48.
The FJ and the Taco share the same motor.
I personally would not do do any deep water crossings due to the fact the alternator is really low.
Water and electrical components like starters don't go well together no matter who makes them.

Take the company truck, you'll never get your moneys worth. Depreciation, wear and tear, fuel, just name a few, you'll lose out big. These are tough times, be smart, nobody cares what you drive, especially clients.

I've had my 09 dbl cab SR5 prerunner for two months and put 2600 miles on it. If I could do it over, I WOULD NOT buy it because the front seats suck - ended up puting seat covers on with foam padding to build up low-slung seat.

I have also been getting only 18 mpg hwy (@65-70); was expecting 20. I would rather have an 06 Tundra.

Otherwise, the truck is solid, smooth and very high quality, but those damn seats......

I love my 08 DC Tacoma...the ride is solid, good power, good ground clearance, etc. BUT....the interior is cheap (rattles, cheap plastic) and I am dissapointed in it for a 27K truck. The seats are borderline ok . Those are my only real issues.

If your company allowance will allow it, and you have a big parking structure to move around in it, why not look into a Tundra. Lots more room to haul friends,co-workers,clients,etc....around.
