I recently installed an Alu-Cab camper and I have zero visibility out the rear view mirror. I installed a Wolfbox rear view camera and feel others could benefit from it even without the obstructions. It has both a front and rear facing camera that records. Maybe this will help someone.

I have the same set up, hardwired as well. Does this drain your battery? What fuse did you use? What is your park setting?

I powered it directly to a Lithium battery so I don't worry about draining the starter battery.
