    Hello all,

Just attempted to install my anytime front and rear camera,

I followed all the wiring steps they showed on the website.

issue: switch lights up orange indicating rear camera is on when it is in the middle (so no camera is selected) and then turns off when flicked down or up. second problem, it only lit up when in reverse. not sure what the deal is about that. third issue. i now have no light for my e brake, and a fantastic air bag light on.

    anyone run into this issue??

Should of bought the Car Solution controller from Amazon. I just finished installing this evening. Works great. Plug in play. Uses function button on steering wheel.

The "on" led gets power from the switch so you probably have your power in and rear camera switch "out" wires reversed.

If you go this rout, make sure and order the model for the third gen Tacoma not the second gen. Ask me how I know.
Act fast because these units go fast.

1st switch your wiring around and then will work when pressed.
2nd I believe you have to tap power going into one of the switches next to it for it to be lit up all the time.

I'm holding out for the model that uses your steering wheel controls, instead of adding a switch.

Swapped wires and issue is still the same. In reverse you turn on the reverse camera switch and the lights I want turn on and the airbag light turns off

Check fuses, I have one like that and wired my own switch and haven't had any issue like you're having.

I used a different kit but had a similar issue with no cameras functioning after install including the rear camera when going into reverse. I just unplugged and replugged all connections and then it worked. May sound silly but it's worth a shot. Have you contacted the manufacturer, maybe your harness is defective?

Did you unplug the battery during install? You may have shorted something and blown fuses which is cause your other issues? Otherwise did you unplug any connections that are part the airbag system?

Are you sure you have good connections to ground? Some bolts in the interior just screw into a metal insert in plastic so they are not actually connected the chassis.

Figured everything out for the back camera. But based on the wiring video they posted and how I wired my front camera up. It shuts off all camera functions when front is turned on.
