Does anyone with the Anytime front camera have the screen randomly flicker sometimes? All my connections seem fine and the picture is fine until it’s been on for a couple minutes, then it will flicker constantly until I turn it off and on again.

Doesn’t matter if I’m on a bumpy trail or sitting in a parking lot.

No issues with mine. Might be a connection issue.

Mine is glitchy as hell. Front camera will come on maybe 50% of the time. Sometimes image is reversed and sometimes it’s normal. Also have the flickering issue. Not sure if it’s a bad camera or what.

I've noticed mine being buggy when the grill area gets heat-soaked. Like offroading in the heat and/or driving around slowly.

My first one did and I'm pretty sure it was how I put the wire through the boot. The second one already had a hole and it works great.

I think it is a heat soak related problem! Will see how it reacts both while moving fast and engine off

Mine doesn’t seem to be a heat problem. Rarely works first thing in the morning leaving the house. Then just random times throughout the day. I need to dig more into the connections I guess to rule everything else out.

It’s definitely from heat soak (for me) after doing some tests. Idk how sensitive cameras are to heat but I doubt it’s the camera itself, it’s mounted on the outside of the grill and feels cool to the touch. So I’m gonna wrap the wiring with some insulation and report back if that helps

Mine just has a mirrored image. Even after cutting the (supposed) correct wire.

My guide lines stayed and the image remained mirrored as well. :/

So I dug into it this evening and the black 12v wire behind the head unit didn’t have the best connection. Fixed that and it came on perfectly. Toggled through front/back on/off at least 15 times. Worked great. Put everything back together and still worked.
10 minutes later I backed out of the garage and as soon as I put it in drive front camera was gone again. Fucked with it all the way to town and no luck. Got home and dug back in. All connections are good and it just will not come on anymore. Anyone have any ideas? Call Taco Garage and see if I need a replacement black box or camera?

Having issues with my front camera as well. Emailed them and never got a response. Their customer support is non existent! Highly disappointing and would never recommend. Tired of waiting on them so ordered the natika camera on Amazon everyone raves about. Will install this weekend.

Mine came with the Pormido PR550. I just wish I knew if it was a camera issue or something else. Hopefully they’ll respond here

I am curious to see how this turns out. This was one of the first mods I was looking forward to doing on my truck

Definitely worth it. I tried the camera that came with the ABC kit on a TV. FOV was way too small, not even worth it.
That Natika camera was well worth the $40

I posted a similar question about flickering a few days ago. Got no responses. I replaced the original camera with a Natika which is a better camera. It flickers on and off at low speed especially offroad when I need it the most. Not related to bumpy roads, etc. Maybe it is heat soak related off-road but I'm not convinced.

I saw it. Thanks! Not sure if it could be a bad power connection. It flickers even if I'm not moving so doesn't seem vibration or bump-related. I just used the stock connections except where I tapped into power the camera. I'll check it out again. Where are you guys tapping in for power to the camera?

I ended up making my own PCB that has a regulated 12V power supply from the battery directly. It also allows me to avoid using the relay.
I thought the kit has a wire for power in the harness that comes from the HU?

I would remove the setup from the truck completely (or as much as you can) and use a TV to test the setup. And then power from the battery or a seperate stable 12V power supply. The fault might be from the relay the kit uses.
Do you hear any sporadic clicking from the relay?

One more thought I just remembered. I had a loose pin in my harness that was causing me issues; took a while to figure that out.
Make sure all the pins in the connectors of the harness are fully seated and nothing is loose and pushed out slightly
