Anytime Rear Camera, Non OEM Head Unit.

So I just put an RTT under the Softopper and obviously it blocks the rear view camera. Is there a way with my Kenwood Head Unit 672BH to make it so I can turn the rear camera on and leave it on while driving?

 

Just took a look at the manual, if you have the rear camera plugged into the AV Input slot, you should be able to select "AV-IN" from the "ALL SRC" menu. If it's plugged into the reverse camera spot, you can turn it on when "AV Key Long Press" is set to the "R-Cam" setting.

 

Hmm I'll have to check that as it's the OEM Camera

 

Its most likely plugged into the reverse camera spot I assume. Assuming you can still use it while reversing. Give it a go and let us know how it goes.

 

AV In shows nothing so it must be in the reverse spot.

 

See if you can go into the settings menu, and change the "av key long press" function to "R-Cam". Once that's set, try and hold the AV button

Yes. It should save all of the settings (maybe not radio stations). Once you can see the image I believe you tap on the bottom of the screen to turn it off. Or if yours has 2 inputs like mine you tap the top to switch between front/rear.

 

Looks like I have to take the radio out to fix this yippeeeeeee

 

What happened now? It seems like it's going to be a pain in the ass.

 

Non of the suggestions worked, but I'm getting a newer model now anyway so I can use Waze on the receiver with my phone.

That is a good solution too. I want to replace my dnx890hd. Nav just stopped working. Guess some memory card internally goes out. What model are you going to get?
