Anytimebackupcamera.com wiring harness does not fit 2020 Tacomas

Good evening,

Just want new 2020 Tacoma owners to know that currently the wiring harness kit for the anytimebackupcamera.com mod will not fit 2020 Tacoma head units. The connectors are slightly different. You theoretically could splice in every single wire but ain't nobody got time for that. I emailed antimebackupcamera.com and asked if a new harness will be coming out shortly. If you're like me, you probably started ordering parts before you even took delivery of the truck but don't make the same mistake I did. I will update this thread if anything changes.

On a positive note, if you ordered the Chinese knock-off TRD Pro grill with the TDS garnish, the camera that is supplied with the kit will mount flush with the grill. However, you will have to cut some of the plastic on the back side in order to secure the nut on the center of the back side of the grill.

I kind of figured. I bought the RFCC TTG2 kit (uses the steering wheel buttons) and I assume it's not going to work. I hope a solution comes out soon! Or if there's a way to install the PVM cameras (or just front camera) since it wasn't offered on Access Cabs.

 

It does not work! So I guess I'll sell it.

 

UPDATE: I've been in contact with Anytime Backup Camera and they're already working on a kit for 2020 Toyotas. I haven't got a timeline for when the new kid will be available.

I'd love a kit to retro-fit the surround cameras on the 2020 access cabs. I love this feature on my wife's car, makes parking in tight spots a breeze.

 

I'm trying to find the 2020 service manual online so I can look at a diagram and see if it can be added. I figure since the head units are the same, it should be possible?

Those part numbers don't come back with anything yet, 2020 parts are not on Toyota's website yet.

 

Update: the new 2020 kits will arrive next week. So I hope to have a new kit in about a week and a half.
