    Hey guys,
me and my gf are headed to anza borego this Sunday to do some exploring. I have a 2wd offroad with kings, tc arms, and all terrain tires. Just wanted to see what routes do you guys recommend taking or going on? I plan on going to fonts point for sunrise and also checking out the steel sculptures at borrego springs. Also, Want to hike slot canyon. Just want to see the most efficient and safe routes you guys recommend. Planning on airing down to 20psi. Thanks for any help.

I visited those exact same spots last year. No problems for me. Stock 2wd, Goodyear Duratracs, didn't air down.

That's good to know...I wanted to check out Fish Creek, but ran out of time. I didn't realize how large Anza Borrego is!

Thanks everyone. Ended up picking Blair for the campground, wake up early to see fonts point. Drive down to slot canyon to hike. Then drive fish creek to the wind cave then turn around at Diablo.

Only question I had is since I’m going after the visitor center is close tomorrow, how can I can a day pass for camping? Don’t want to have any issues with the rangers there. Thank you.

If I remember, both Font's Point and the Slot were only 20-30 mins each way (that is, once you get off the main highway. The sculptures were turn-offs from the paved road, and could be adventurous if you wanted it to be ;).

I didn't have time to go to Font's Point and the Slot but I did go up Coyote Canyon pretty far. Pretty awesome drive but dunno if it is really 'offroad' but it was pretty rocky. Even had a few tiny water crossings. I did turn on 4x4 just to let it run a bit but I don't think you need it. My buddy followed me in his Hyundai sedan for most of it until after the second water crossing lol.

Pretty awesome I will definitely go back.

Made it out Saturday night. Next time I’ll come when there’s day light, such a pain in the ass finding a camp site lol. Camped at Blair. Next morning we went down pinyon mountain road to try and get to fish creek wash. Aired down and has my locker on. Did good almost all the way until I encounter what I believe was the squeeze. Said hell and turned around lol. Went to fonts point after. Anaza Borrego is amazing. Definitely coming back with better maps and hopefully more people and traction boards lol. Had fun taking my taco off-road the first time. Apple alley pie was also amazing.
