Anzo Headlights for 2016 - 2018 Tacoma SR

Hi ALL,

I've got a set of ANZO 111377 for 2018 Tacoma SR. It has a White Outline Tube but that is not the DRL. The DRL is 3 Tubes that also are the turn signals. They're Amber at all times. The Amber tube has small chip boards (LED Chips) behind the tubes. My question is, is it all possible to convert these Amber strips to a switchback style WITHOUT opening the headlights??? Say a diode or something (I'm not even sure what a diode does besides blocks a current from going both ways in the line. I'd love to have these Amber DRL's running White as most DRL's are, and only Blink Amber when the signal or flashers are engaged.

Knowledgeable about the mechanics of vehicles and have a basic understanding of lighting/wiring but am scratching my head here. Any help would be much appreciated - in layman's terms please

If it's not factory switchback, you're SOL unless you want to crack open the lights

 

If the white is not DRL and the ambers are turn, when does the white come on?

 

The white and amber turn on in the DRL position. The amber is the turn and hazard lights. The amber turns off when the headlights are in the On position but the white outline stays on with the headlights.

 

The Anzo part number for SR models Switchback DRL is 111396. If you get the 111397 for an SR model they won't work.

 

What are you doing with your OEM headlights?

 

Nothing until I make sure these work as described and are good qualit .
