Anzo Projector Halogen Headlights

Hey Everyone,
I’ve had this set of Anzo Switchback Projector Headlights w/ LED DRL for a few months now. I’m curious if anyone out there knows about swapping out the H7 and H9 halogens for an LED or white bulb. Trying to get rid of the yellow. Any help/advice or pointing me in the right direction is greatly appreciated!

See the headlight thread linked earlier. Those headlights will have horrible optical performance, and result in a significant loss in distance projection compared to the stock headlights. Unfortunately putting in replacement LEDs only make it worse. See the postings in the thread, posts 1-3. If you want to run LED the correct way to do it is with a properly designed LED assembly like the OEM LED headlights or Morimoto LED assemblies. If you had the OEM halogen assemblies you might try the Hikari Ultra LEDs which are the only LED bulbs recommended for replacement in the OEM assembly as all other LEDs perform worse than stock. But running a poor quality aftermarket assembly, your results will be significantly worse than OEM, meaning no replacement LEDs will perform equivalent to the low performance stock halogen, in that assembly.

 

If you are willing to spare a very pretty penny, I think @no vtec 4me can retrofit these. They are similar to OEMassive's headlights, at least the outer lowbeam projectors. Difference is that the full DRL strip is a switchback, a dedicated turn signal, and the highbeam projector is smaller (non standard size).

@squiddy I tried that in my OEM housings with Morimoto LED bulbs. The light output LOOKED cool but was garbage and dangerous on roads without streetlights.

Please do yourself a favor and just get the OEM LED ones (or Morimoto XBs, I have those) and save yourself some grief.

 

@TN_Taco11 The amber color is just the turn signal or emergency flashers. I’m sure with some modifications you could make it happen.
