I’ve read reports on one of them having condensation inside. Have you searched the forum?

Looks like the Anzos are different from the cheap OEMassive lights that are all over the place. Hopefully they're higher quality?

There's a vid on this install. I followed it. Was very easy. Hardest part and it will be this for any headlight swap, was getting fender flares pulled out a little enough to get at the bolt on the side. You have to pull the front fender out a little bit and the fender flair out a little to get that lower bolt.

This lamp I pointed to is made for trucks without the drl lights like we have. We don't need that special add-on. It's plug in so just don't need that plug - cut 3 wires and take your OEM plug from the DRL and solder or crimp it on the new headlight. Was real easy. There's another way to just pull the plug on the new DRL inside the lamp. Was just as easy for me to solder. probably easier.

I looked at those other lights - think this one looks a lot better and is the same as a Pro headlight for fraction of $$ - quality is there.. It's as if the same company that made the OEM Pro lights made this one.

So if my current lights have daytime running lights is the install different or will these not fit my truck?

No they will fit on trucks with DRLs like mine. There's an install vid for this. This light was made for trucks without DRL and also with DRLs.There's a module for non-DRL trucks that we dont need. Its a plug in module. So extra parts.

You do need to watch the vid on install. The DRL has a plug that matches the plug on your OEM light. You need to cut that off your OEM light and solder or crimp it to the same wires on the new light. There's another way to do it but for me soldering and shrink tube with tape was the easiest way and it's covered in the install vid.

It's not quite plug n play but VERY close. 3 wires cut off connector and solder connector to new light - each light so 2 times. That was easy. Getting the lower bolt off the OEM lamp was a little more work.. not much tho.

This truck is pretty easy to work on.
Front bumper WAY WAY easier to take apart and put back together than the rear bumper. 4 bolts and some push pins. thats it. I actually installed my front bumper and forgot 2 of the 4 bolts and it was still on solid. Of course I took it apart and put the 2 extra bolts back in. Was REAL easy the 2nd time!

So you could solder OR use crimp connectors for the 3 wires you have to wire to the OEM connector. Prolly can just wire to wire but I thought if I need to take the light out for some reason I just unplug like I did with the OEM lamp. This new light is EXACTLY the same light as OEM but blacked out just like the Pro headlight. Quality all around. Wouldn't be surprised if this was OEM gear, side by side you cant tell which is OEM.

For the 2nd Gen's, I've heard nothing but terrible things about both companies. Not sure if they have their shit together for 3rd's. Use your best judgement on this one.

The lamp I used was DEPO they are top quality. Like I said - side by side on my work bench couldn't tell the diff from DEPO vs OEM other than the black out.

The Anzos have a three hash turn signal (look at the three lines on the right side of the headligh... that's the turn signal) and the horseshoe around the outside of the light appears to be the DRL.
