Pretty much pavement but I did find some cool trails to check out. Only single truck and no winch.

Gotcha. I am not looking to break anything that far from home but it would be fun to get into the back country a bit if possible.

    I'd say it's your belts/belt. Most likely.

Hopefully my truck will be more built up in time for something like this. I wanted to venture out to the PNW in a couple years too... Too many places I wanna go, not enough $$$

If you want paved passes I would look into ones like Independence pass located roughly in the middle of CO or head further up north into Estes Park. These areas are safe and well traveled and with really no risk of breaking anything.

If you are looking for off pavement mountain passes requiring 4x4 with proper clearance and proper tires I would look into the Alpine Loop. This is in the South Western part of CO.

There are tons off books and forums with all the info needed.... Plenty of organized events and group rides as well. Could even rent a jeep if keeping your personal vehicle out of harms way is a priority.

Impossible to get every pass under your belt in one trip, CO is a big state and passes take time, there are just too many of them, my advice is pick a couple passes in a certain area of the state and tic them off the bucket list.

    just my .02

That's why I made such a big loop. There's plenty in the state to concentrate in one area.

I would be in, but I only get 2 weeks of vacation per year. That is until July 14th, 2020 when I will have 3 weeks, hahah. I get other days off too, but I generally take one week for vacation with Krystle and one week to work on whatever house flip I'm doing.

Alright well this is all very, very preliminary planning.

If anyone else wants in on tentative West trip, let me know and I'll add your name to my Google Doc (which I'll share at some point)
