    Edit: perhaps when people chime in with when they're free, you can edit the 2nd post and put the dates they can go. Then when we get about a month away from the soonest dates, go through and see which dates have the most people :notsure:

    I was just reading the aoaa thread about the recovery class and what not. Perhaps we can tie that into this wheeling trip? Meaning, we all go out wheeling and test our own personal limits. TRY to get stuck in a safe way, then ha e the likes of @stairgod and @Subway4X4 show us how to get unstuck. I'd rather that than a class in a field.

    That said, October is fully booked for me, and the first weekend of November is likely booked as well.

    It looks like AOAA is open all of Thanksgiving weekend...maybe a turkey run Fri/Sat/Sun.? Or if we do it the weekend prior (18th/19th) we could make it a charity/donation type thing and collect canned goods etc for donation...

    December works too...still pissed I missed the Mobtown event (it was only 2 days ago, of course I'm still pissed)...

    For the most part Saturdays are better for me. Driving 3.5 hours each way on a Sunday plus the possibility of carnage makes for a stressful day and a tired start to the week. I'll still go if a Sunday is what everyone decides on though.

    No offense but I have no interest in driving up there for a recovery class. I am 4 hours away one direction from my house to that park.

    Works for me. The only way I wouldn't be able to make it is if my girlfriend's parents need extra help moving (they probably will...) in which case I could probably manage to make it out for wheeling on Sat and go straight there after...

    I know this is very very early on but we should have a game plan going in to this one. Have groups set up in advance etc

    No offense, but you also don't have to come. That being said, I don't want to have a recovery class in a random field. I want to be ON a trail wheeling and hopefully someone is willing to get stuck. Or we're testing our limits and get stuck trying to do new shit.

    Isn't the recovery part of the fun anyway? Whats the point of buying all this equipment to not be able to use it.

    Yea i'm all for the recovery class especially as someone new too it but im also 3 hours away and I agree with @Redmann that it would be better actually on the trail.

    We can also plan multiple runs/groups if need be. If some people want a recovery course I'm sure we could make it happen while others are out on the trail, or we can just stagger weekends

    As of right now I should be good for either of those dates if anything changes I will let you know but it looks like a go for me.
