who DOES NOT want to camp? The place that @loosnut mentioned is available for Nov 17, 18, 19 weekend. In fact, it's the ONLY weekend available in November. The rates are better than any hotel or bed and breakfast around AOAA. I've looked... the cheapest hotel I found was 100 per night, while BnB's are more. the rates for this place would be Rates: 1-4 persons $180 per night, $35 each additional person. The rates were pulled directly from their website. https://www.access2adventures.com/

for 4 people, it would be $45 per night. for 10 people, it works out to be $39 a night. It will fit up to 16 people according to @loosnut I imagine is going to be cold at night for camping. I'm looking for a hotel, but the cost is so much that I said I would just sleep in my truck. Not the most ideal situation... if there's other people who would want to go in on this, I would totally do it.

I'm not planning on getting in on this, but offering up some input:

It's getting close to the weekend. Maybe give them a call to see if they'll lower the price tag. Renting it for $100 bucks is better than zero bucks for a vacancy.

That's what I'm thinking of doing, but it depends on if my dad is joining or not. If he is I need to grab us beds somewhere, if not it opens up the options of getting a super early start Saturday, sleeping in the truck, or the hotel option

So far it seems like you, your dad, and I are the only people to want to sleep here! I don't understand that, but hey to each their own! I'll email them and see if they can lower that rate.

I've spent a lot of time and effort fostering my natural insulation abilities, THANK YOU VERY MUCH. Plus I think I'm actually the "bear" @BastekFX saw wandering around camp. If you see me DO NOT PEPPER SPRAY! Throwing food will suffice to keep me at bay.

Although I'm equipped and geared up to deal with it, 19 degrees is beginning to sound cold in my advanced age.

If Mark can get the pricing down, I'll commit and join in for Saturday night.

Plus, I don't want my eyes to even come close to seeing @Skell running around camp in his "natural" insulation.

    Those traditions will continue:

I always carry the trail stove and always bring hotdogs, buns and condiments. Those in my trail group are always welcome to partake and/or throw their stuff on my grill.

I will of course do Saturday night dinner main course at the camp area. I'm thinking a beef and vegetable stir fry over Jasmine rice.

@HolyHandGrenade 's lovely wife OCK and I usually team up to create a group dinner, but since they're not gonna make it, the rest of you goofballs should/could/maybe/possibly offer up a dish/side dish/dessert, etc.
