I have been on the hunt for a new Taco. I am looking for a DCLB off road, deluxe package in quicksand. My dealer calls, no joy. I guess I am going to get a color I dont really want..........,

    Plenty of DCLB in quicksand

Why would you pay $35k for a vehicle in wrong color ?

No clue what deluxe package is
    Never heard of it

Yep, I had to wait months for a DCLB TRD sport 4X4 in quicksand. None to be found in the southeast. Had to be built and waited for it.

Go to a high volume dealer and make them order it. Be prepared for a long weight. You need a dealer with high allocations. Don't settle for less than you want.

Find a new dealer cuz I'm pretty sure that exists. I had one dealer straight up tell me that they don't make the trd packages in manual. I went to the next closest dealership and they had 2 on the lot

I am getting ready to buy an access cab v6 mt 4x4. On the toyota website, if I type in my zip code (small east Texas town) the only options for tacoma are access cab 4 cylinder 2x4 and 4x4, if you want v6 it only let's you select a 4 door short bed. If I type in Dallas zip code, it reloads page and I can select any transmission and engine I want. The point is, they only ship certain type of trucks to certain areas....they don't like it when you want something else, because that means more work for everyone and everyone is lazy.

There is a 2017 quicksand DCLB off road for sale here on the forums with 5k miles on it. Check out the 3rd gen for sale thread. Located in SoCal but I bet you could arrange something with the seller, fly out to pick it up, and save a ton of money.

Montwayauto also ships cars for pretty cheap. Used them last summer

I want a TRD OR Access Cab and there are none here nor coming in, so I ordered what I wanted today. It will be here in 10-12 weeks. The build website is a little frustrating because you can only get certain packages with certain colors, but the dealer said he can work around it and get me what I want. It may have something to do with what Bell214b was describing in the last post.

This Quicksand Tacoma is discounted $2,376 prior to arrival at dealership.

A friend purchased their Tacoma at this dealership next to Portland.
I purchased in Vancouver. I’ve seen plenty of new Quicksand DCORLBs for sale around here over the last several months.

That’s because only Canada gets that configuration, the USA doesn’t. The build website only lets you choose what is currently available in your area. So to get what the OP wants, he has to ‘order’ what he wants.

Assuming deluxe package just means premium tech right? That’s my configuration and I bought it in CT
