Follow the instructions. They tell you to start with the fins, and then trim as required. You will not need to trim the long horizontal areas. After the fins, try and install the LED and see how it fits, every bumper valence is a little different. You may need to trim around where the mounts stick out a little bit, and in the corner areas. The LED is a tight fit, don't be afraid to push the LED against the plastic and into position. These do not get hot like the old halogen lights, there won't be any problems.

Couple extra tips. Trimming with a sharp knife is best, like a box cutter or utility knife. Don't use anything meant for cutting wood, people do and then get mad the cuts are jagged. Most important, be patient!!!!! If you hack up your valence because you were in a rush, you won't be happy, and they are about $70 to replace from Auto Anything. Remember you bought a mount that is a custom fit when you buy the Flush mounts. Trimming is expressed in the description, it will take time, and the more you spend, the better it will look. These are some of the best looking LEDs on the 12+ grill when done that way, because of the tight fit. Please feel free to reach out to me via PM/Text/Email if you have any specific questions!

I had problems with the harness as well. Consensus was the relay. Does the green light luminate when the switch is in the on position but the light bar does not? That's what mine was doing and if I tapped the relay the light bar would come on momentarily (blinking when tapped).

The issue with mine was the white wire from the switch plug. It was still intact but over crimped and the wire (on the inside) was broke. Hope this helps with your trouble shooting. Once I located the problem I cut everything to fit and wired in a AOB center console switch and so for it's working just fine.

Got the mounts and led bar installed today. I couldn't electrical my way out of a wet paper bag. Gave it the old college try though. Got the green light to light up on the switch that was supplied, but the led bar wouldn't light up. I was too tired from fighting the mounting part solo to troubleshoot further. Looks damn good and that mofo doesn't budge so I am stoked about that. Hopefully tomorrow I can get the light to work. Man, for a guy who doesn't have much patience, getting that sucker mounted was a chore.

Did you pull the front grill? Makes the install so much easier. Sounds like Caliraised sent out some bad harnesses. Your switching problem sounds similar to mine.
But the brackets, bad ass right.

Talked to Cali Raised. Looks like they had a mixed batch of bad relays from the company that makes the harness for them. They just realized the problem from getting issues over the last week, but harnesses were already sent out with them. If you guys have this problem please email me your info and Cali Raised will get a new relay out to you ASAP. They are committed to making this right for anyone who has a problem. Any new harness that go out have the new relay on them and they have plenty of new relays in stock to supply you.

Mine does not light up green nor red, just dead. I try to wiggle the relay wires but doesn't do anything. Cali raised is sending me a new relay. Does the relay wires pull out or do I have to cut them and solder it to new relay?

Used mine on some dark mountain roads for 5 days. Really pleased with the output and the mount is bombproof. No shaking with this baby. When you turn the light off it seems like one of your headlights are burned out it's so dim.

The red LED light on my switch is not lit when off but the green one does light when the bar is on. I the red one supposed to be illuminated???? If so what needs to be done it make it light?

Thanks for the feedback, very happy it's working so well for you!!!! I forwarded your question to Cali Raised. This is outside of my knowledge. I am like most, use a different switch haha.

I had some of the same problems as the others with the relay. My problem was not the relay itself. The relay wiring at the relay holder was really bad and was not allowing power to get to the switch. I just got some new connectors to use in the relay holder. Can't wait for it to get dark!

Cali Raised said they can send you a new switch if you want one. They told me they got about 15 bad harnesses, and that they all didn't go to the GB. I guess the company they bought the harnesses from had a problem, but it was resolved pretty quickly.

Wow what great customer service from you and Cali raised. I get so tired with the poor customer service you get anymore especially after pushing 5 numbers before getting someone who don't know anything and doesn't give a shit. It's refreshing dealing with someone who gives a damn about their customers.

If you could have them send me a switch that would be great. Thanks. Be well.

Is there any way we can test for a bad switch or relay before it gets installed? Some sort of continuity test? Is the switch the only issue on the bad harnesses? I'm trying to avoid getting the wires installed and tucked away and having an issue that requires me to pull them back out again.

Can you please do me a favor and send me an email to chris@apexfabworks.com with a quick description and more importantly your address again. I delete everyone's personal info once products are sent so I probably don't have your address on file anymore.

It's been a relay problem, the switch is not a standard one. Plus Cali Raised told me that of the few that had the red light issue, most likes it because they didn't want a light on all the time. It doesn't cause any function problems with the switch. But they only way to test it is to hook it up. You can easily connect the two terminals to the battery before you run the wires and do a quick test.

Sounds good, I'll apply power to test first. The switch is being replaced anyway, so as long as it functions to test out everything else I should be all set. Thanks for the quick response!
