Thinking we need to give up on this. It's obvious they are too small of a company to have the ability to do anything new without years of lead time. I like their rear bumper but not holding my breath for the swingout, I've already gone another route.

    Nope.
We're blindly optimistic to a fault.
    This is happening.

Would it be weird to go to their physical location and politely see how they are doing?

If you are close, I don't see why not, just don't come off too aggressive, lol.

I'm tempted, but it does seem a little weird. They are the only company making rear bumpers with blind spot monitoring integrated. I hope they can pull through. I for sure would get a swing-out bumper from them.

4wp is selling one with BSM also.

    But no swingouts on it.
If you opt for the swingouts, BSM compatibility is removed.

There's a thread on TW about relocating BSM's to tail lights - you'd have to express your inner "mad scientist" a little though.

At this point, realistically it probably won't be for a 3rd gen though.

4wp stuff isn't made in the United States so I really don't want to go that route based solely on that.

    [necro alert]
I asked this same question for towing via email and got a reply that they do not have any certification or formal testing but have towed up to 9,000 lbs just fine with their bumper but it was "a little sketchy."

MY biggest issue has been trying to find a damn hitch that works with this bumper! SO FRUSTRATING!! I will end up having to have a custom one made because the license plate area is sunken in so far that the hitch slider needs to be super long, otherwise your turn arc is almost non-existent due to the recovery points sticking out. All of the super long sliders I tried have the hole for the hitch pin set so far forward that the extension hits the spare tire.

Yes, I could toss the tire into the back of the truck, but I shouldn't have to. Not only is the hole for the pin set so far back but the 2 inch receiver square hole in the bumper itself is about a millimeter or two too small, plus it has rounded (???) corners which means that half of the sliders I try to push in, which ALL measure two inches square, almost but not quite won't fit in. Sometimes I'm lucky and find a slider that will push in if I use my muscles.

Bottom line: I love the bumper but if you will be towing a trailer with it then look elsewhere, and I'm sad to have to say this since I was waiting like others for the swing-outs...

:( If you’re looking for a swing out go somewhere else. They’re not going to do one!

Wonder how that'd look with a tonneau instead...
