The HC might carry more. We're looking to add in front tie in brackets near the rear of the fender flare to add more rigidity. Obviously the more tie in points to the frame, the stronger the HC will be. I still wouldn't recommend towing anything over 8000lbs with a Tacoma though. Poor things are only supposed to carry a max of 6800lbs...

Keep in mind, when we towed our 9000lbs payload, we were riding on bump stops the whole way... Haha

Am I crazy or does it look like any fold down table on the swing arms would run into the tailgate if its open/down?

EDIT: They responded to my IG reply asking the same question:
"the tables aren’t completely rectangular so that they will clear the tailgate"

triangle fold-out tables?? kinda starting to look like the geometry dictates that you can either have bsm or tables... maybe not both?

I don't think the geometry of the swing outs as triangles has anything to do with BSM placement/functionality... When the arms are both closed, the swing arms are not in the way of the BSM monitor. Left side has a 90 angle there. Right side has a triangle corner (less than 90)...

Not sure if it has to be triangular, but maybe trapezoidal, just enough so that the one side doesn't collide with the tailgate.
    Probably not?

I am sure they've put in plenty of thought, can't wait to see how they turn out! In their second to last IG post, I asked about table size... They said their tables were designed to fit most standard size camp stoves...

Hey guys, sorry for the lack of content but we've been reading through!

Firstly, yes the tables should fit most camp stoves, and it will be trapezoidal.

I'm confused why the geometry of the tables dictates either BSM or tables? Why would you be driving with the tables out?

Thanks to everyone who posted our IG content here. We haven't been as active on the forums as we'd like to be.

Currently the swing outs need some refinement. They aren't as strong as we'd like them to be and we've bent some parts (with significant weight) more than we're comfortable with.

We're redesigning some gussets and spindles for better rigidity. Thank you all for staying patient for these.

We're doing our best to ensure people get a strong, dependable, well engineered product.

    Yes
CBI used a similar brake metal design and they failed pretty bad in mass, welds cracked and in my case the metal itself fatigued and cracked. There is a reason why everyone uses bulkier 2x3 or 2x4 tubing, with a 120 lb 35" spare and two full jerry cans metal fatigue happens rapidly even on just dirt roads.

We're quickly finding that out! We were trying for a weight conscious design (poor Tacomas already have to deal with people bolting 500lbs of :annoyed: to the back) but, we'd rather provide a strong product. Thanks for the input, stay tuned!

There is a post on their IG from a few months ago that shows a rendering of the table on one of the swingarms: https://www.instagram.com/p/CIYmBvxHzC7/

Looks like it's a pretty good size, with basically a corner "cut off" to clear the tailgate when it's all open. Here's a screenshot, in case the link to the IG video doesn't work:
