I am trying to get my fold down table on the same side as where I can mount my 11 lb propane tank. This design shows they would likely be on opposite sides. Assuming the propane tank mounts on the opposite side as the spare tire. That setup won't work for what I had in mind, but there is always another way...

I believe I remember them posting that the table would be available for both sides.

Just want to make sure that you guys realize that with a dual swing out the arms are so short that when your tailgate is down the camp table is useless...ask me how I know

I just converted a single swing to a dual and lost my camp table. It doesn’t matter what brand you have or how you design it when you go to a dual swing there isn’t room for a camp table anymore ( * when the tailgate is down ) because the arms are too short.

@Apogee Offroad Would you consider making a single large swing out?

If you allow the arms to swing out 180 degrees, the fold down tables would work. Find the right angle between 90 and 180 and it could work, still. I believe you when you say that no one has done this so far with their dual swing out solutions. I think I read on this thread that @Apogee Offroad plans to do 130 degrees with these dual swing arms.

That's a good point, if the gate was open 180 a camp table would still work. The only problem I see is that every swing gate I know of has the locking pins engage at 90 so the mech for the locking pins and the spindle support would just need to be set up so that the gate could open past 90.

    Hi all,

Lets clear the fold down table topics up.

For the fold down tables, we will be offering tables for both sides.

The way the tables are designed, they will fold down with the tailgate down, only when both of the swing outs are fully open and locked.

They have cutouts as pointed out in the above rendering ^ that allow them to clear the tailgate.

They will be large enough to hold a traditional propane stove.

    More detailed photos to follow.

Thank you for the clarification @Apogee Offroad ! Just one more question - are the tables designed to sit at the same level as the tailgate when they're deployed?

It will be close, but we don't have data of the top of the tailgate down, so it wont be exact.

Dual swingout with camp tables on each arm that can be dropped when the tailgate is down? And big enough to fit a propane dual burner?

    Sub’d, I’d like to see!

    Hi all,

Not much of an update for you guys but we've made some changes to our design to further improve rigidity (More gussets around the spindle and boxed swing arms).

Due to a material shortage here in CA, we're just waiting on new material to get laser cut for further testing.

Thanks for understanding and we hope to have a better update when we get that material in.

Shoot us some dimensions of your dual burner!

We can verify it fits in CAD, and get back to you!

    Hey guys,

    We have some exciting news!

This past weekend we put our prototype swing out bumper on our Tacoma to verify the swing out dimensions didn't interfere with the BSM functionality, and we're delighted to say that they work perfectly. Go check out our brief Instagram clip of them in action. Keep in mind that we are definitely updating the design for further rigidity, but the dimensions should stay exactly the same.

    Pictures will follow shortly.
