Did I read somewhere that the swing outs are going to ready in March?

The prototype will likely be finished in March and we will get plenty of images of posted for everyone to see. Production will follow some testing and we will keep everyone updated.

We’re working on getting them done ASAP but it’s always a balancing act since we have our regular orders to get shipped out. Only so much time in a day!

The swing out prototype is coming along! After that we’ll be looking for a few beta testers most likely and then production once all the testing is done.

I would happily plan a road trip to California (from Denver) to be a beta tester!

Do you need testers for the normal clearance swingout, or the high clearance? Also do you have a single side swing out yet?

Yep! We don’t have an exact day yet but right around the end of the month is what we’re expecting.

Nothing is set in stone but likely looking for both. If your interested shoot us an email at info@apogeeoffroad.com.

We don’t have a single sided swing out.

    10-4, thanks

Do you intend to do a single swing out eventually?

    or

Could you run a double swing out, and just not put on the driver side?

I ask because my ideal is to have it swing to the passenger side, so I can still access the bed whilst still being under my canopy in crappy weather. Also, the drawer system kitchen is eventually going to be a thing that sits on the passenger side as well.

we don’t have any plans currently for a single swing out but if there was enough demand we aren’t against doing one.

you could certainly just run one of the swing outs on our system.

Forgive the slightly ghetto mount, but here is where we're at! Machining the strikers currently. SwingOuts.jpg

Very nice. Looking forward this completion. I searched for a while before finding a access cab trd off road with tech package. It’s one of the rare models and I’d like to be able to keep all the fancy features

@Apogee Offroad can I ask how easy or complicated it is to remove/install the swing arms? I dream of a solution that would allow me to install the arms for an off-road/overland trip, and allow them to be removed and stored in the garage for daily driver use. I understand that some components would still be there (such as the hinge brackets, or maybe the latch strikers), bit it sure would be nice to still be able to fit in the garage, and to not have to open the swing arms every time I need to access the tailgate (when I'm not in "off-road" mode).

The current design would just require removing four bolts. And all the nuts are captive so one wrench and a few minutes and they would be off.
