*UPDATE* So I removed the "designer" shackles and have been driving around for the past month or so to test and the problem persists. I still get false-positive alarm chimes even without the shackles. I'm not sure what else to do, but it's incredibly annoying and essentially renders the alert system worthless. The whole reason for purchasing this specific bumper was to retain the systems, but apparently the Apogee version still has unresolved design issues? I'm not sure what else to try...or if there is another brand on the market that doesn't have these issues?

Have you talked to the manufacturer?

I have. Back in May I contacted Apogee about the issue and we had a number of emails back and forth discussing through the beginning of August. They mentioned that they had been investigating the issue and were planning to prototype 3D printed housings of some sort that might change the angles, etc. Last I heard from them was August 1 when they told me they weren't able to get to it because they had to move their entire production facility.
