I got an Alpine IDA-x305s headunit last summer (when I still had my iphone) and I can't tell ya how well it worked with the iOS. The headunit had full control of Pandora (which was really, really nice) and thanks to the bluetooth kit that I got with it, I had enough control of all the other apps that I used that I had no complaints with it... But that was when I had an iPhone....

Now I've got a Droid Razr, and while I can still have the bluetooth connection and it's functions/controls, I'd really like to have a full-blown control system attached to it, and I really hope that this Pioneer unit is the answer... Otherwise I've got to continue researching into a carputer

I got the droid razr maxx and I love it. If I am reading all the reviews correct I think you can use a hdmi cable to plug into the radio. Then the radio screen will be the same as your phone screen.

Too bad the Razr Vehicle dock only has a usb input on it.... this would work out nicely if it were like the desktop dock that did have both usb and hdmi (& audio).

Here's to hoping for an updated version of the vehicle dock.... and an Alpine version

You might wanna look more into this radio Because it is receiving either fair or poor, but none that I have seen are good reviews. For me I wouldn't for that money. Just my 2 cents.

I have the app radio 1st Ed. And I love it, it lags some times but not enough to make me regret my purchase. It can eat up a lot of data if you don't have a unlimited plan. They are a bit tricky to bypass to allow you to watch movies on the go. If you don't plan on using CDs/DVDs much this is a good unit. If you have another questions let me know

I could care less about cd/dvd if I can have netflix and pandora. I looked at the first gen app radio but the newer one said it droid capable. It is a little pricey. But if I am getting all the features of my phone with out having to pay any monthly fee it is worth it. I have unlimited data on my phone so I would rather use my phone than have to pay for xm or gps.

Knowing all that then I would go for it, it does come with a gps antenna to strengthen your phone signal. And it's easy to update as well!

If you have not done so, check out Youtube. They have some vids on the App Radio.

Bilstein 5100's set to 1.75. K&N air filter, aux input solder on stock disk changer, westin running boards, and rain guards.
This appradio is way to expensive. I have a hunch these are going to come down in price drastically. Im going to wait. IMO
