ive had 2 seizures (both at my work) and they didnt cancel my license, so i would see what you can get done, best of luck man .... based on my research colorado generally doesnt cancel em from one, and if they try to nab me based on the second one, im going to point out that i am now on anti seizure medication (i think its called kepper) which was prescibed to me after #2, and that the doctor that cleared me to return to full work duty (which includes driving) without a second neurologist visit or an EEG, or any medication likely committed malpractice which is why #2 happened in the first place

Keppra, im on 3,000MG of it. She has NO VALID reason just because i have a second chance doesnt mean im going bow down and let people bitch me down, This is a personal Vendetta! I fully plan on going there and figuring out what the hell is her problem, I mean she literally pulled this within the week of being told off for her shitty accusions so i know for a fact its just because she got butt hurt.

You guys can all talk down at me and yadda yadda but if you had your license revoked without your knowledge and nobody giving you a reason or heads up (wont even call me back) You guys would be PISSED so stop talking the high road and acting like your better then me.

 

this is why this thread suprised the hell out of me, cause im on 2 seizures, the second of which i happened to be in front of a security camera for, and while i didnt want to see the video, i needed closure and to know what happened. Scared the hell out of me and i had to look away when i did see the video. Now the one thing that is interesting is are you on 3000 mg PER DOSE? cause they just gave me 1000 mg caps.

Edit ... and your RN is full of shit IMO and likely has someone higher up helping her, my neighbor 2 houses down is an LPN, and according to her if you havent had an EEG, or if you have one and they cant find anything wrong with you, they reccomend you dont drive but they cant jack your license.

says a guy from california (which im a native of) where your lisence gets jacked automatic 6 months if you have a seizure. The laws are different over here and this RN is overstepping her bounds and based on what he said, i believe they may have a vendetta against him and wanna play games, ESPECIALLY if he has the prescription for the anti seizure medication, he is very unlikely to have another one.

Edit .... one thing i will note though and he can correct me on when he sees this thread is his dose is high as fuck, cause im sitting at 2 doses a day of the same medication hes on at 1000 mg each, and they got him up to 3000. I saw the video of seizure #2 like i said earlier, happened at 5pm, hospital didnt let me leave till midnight, and that was with no injury. Seizure #1 (also happened at 5pm) i busted my head open, they had to put 4 staples in my head, and i was out of there by 930pm

 

The lung transplant isnt even in this discussion so stop bringing it up!!! i appreciate greatly that i was gifted with these lungs, But that doesnt mean im going to let these RNs fuck with me just because they dont like me, This doesnt have anything to do with the transplant. I take 1,500mg of keppra twice a day as well as 100mg of Vimpat twice a day. So Im clearly seizure free with these meds.

saw your post, i dont know what the hell the other medication is and they didnt offer any of that my way after TWO, so in my opinion even with other medical issues, toycoma92 only having one is probably less likely to have another one than i am, and i still have a drivers license.

so taildrag ... you dont think its whack that in colorado the medical community doesnt generally take drivers licenses for seizures, i can cruise down the road after having 2, he has one and hes done? Come on man.

 

I had two seizures, DUE TO A MED CALLED NEORAL. I stopped taking that med THAT DAY, and ive yet to have a seizure, They actually caught my seizure on camera on the Seizure machine, The doctors exact words were "We believe the neoral caused the seizure and the medications we put you on WILL cover you if we are wrong about the reaction"

 

Im most pissed off that i wasnt even told, Didnt even have a discussion or was able to add my opinion. It was kind of, Watch this want to be mean to me then ill do this!

 

We only know HIS side of the story. We don't know everything that has gone on. His attitude on here has been crappy about his medical care. If he goes to the doc with that chip on his shoulder, then

Maybe it's the combination of drugs he's on.

I'm pretty sure if he went to the doc with an open attitude and was cooperative he'd get different results.
