    Yes I know their is probably a thread for this but I’m gonna ask it anyways, is their a way to take my IPhone 11 Pro and connect it to my 17 OR and play movies I’ve bought onto the radio screen. Or would I be better off buying a portable DVD player for my 3 year old to watch movies on.
    I read somewhere about a lightning cable and the truck had to be in park with emergency brake on.

    No. CarPlay doesn't play video. Also, the stock radio doesn't play video. Plus the resolution on the stock radio from a 2017 would look awful, even if it could do it. If you get an aftermarket stereo with the capability then you can play video on it. Certainly many ways to bypass the emergency brake issues with playing video.
