I know, by that time I'd inhaled so many welding fumes I wouldn't have noticed

I've been meaning to throw up some pictures of my wreck. It really speaks volumes about the quality of the Trail Gear tube bumpers. i was being let out by one driver to make a left out of a drive way. I waited for on coming traffic from the right to clear and went to pull out and go left. At the same time the girl in the car behind the kind soul letting me out decided she was tired of waiting and went around the car letting me out and pulled right in front of me. She admitted to seeing me waiting to pull out, passing in the gore(more commonly known as the suicide lane) and that it was her second wreck that week. Responding officer was a good dude, wrote a bang up report and she was found responsible. The only damage to my bumper was the paint which I was able to fix pretty well.

May 2016: A week of nice weather and my recent move to a house with a garage meant I could pull the doors off and enjoy the nice weather for a few days.

End of May 2016: Made it out to the TACO RANCH to meet with @Burnett of BURNETT FAB and @BYJOSHCOOK. It was a hella good time. @Burnett and I made some bed supports and a Tube bumper for my rig and @BYJOSHCOOK got his ubolt flip, Timbrin Bumps and shock relocations mounted up. It was a great time with some great dudes. I cant wait to do it again here soon.

Pulled the factory fender flares because they were looking a little ratty. they are pretty badly faded but with some love could look good again. Probably gonna try to find a new home for them since I'm going to fiberglass fenders.

I love this new bumper. @Burnett did an excellent job fabbing it up. Just look at those fill plates on the sides of the receiver!! i bed lined and top coated gunmetal grey to match my sliders and front bumper. Considering pulling the bedsides and cutting from the right behind the rear wheel up to the rear bumper for a more aggressive look, i might even try to pull the bedsides...:headbang: The supports are staying black bedliner.

June 2016: I found a little rust while i was working on my rear bumper with @Burnett and decided it need to be addressed before it escalated so i pulled the bed and wend to work with a grinder and some rust prohibitive frame paint... it was quite the job. While I had the bed off I showed the rear axle some love. The first picture is from where i ran out of paint and had to make the truck somewhat street legal for a trip to Walmart for more.

June 2016: FabTech Flat Spare Mount and Curt License Plate Mount came in. I really like the spare mount, it is way more solid than just running a strap over the tire. It included a really nice aluminum FabTech mount plate and was a relatively easy install except for drilling a Kennedy Half Dollar size hole in my bed, which was more of a mental obstacle than anything. The Curt Mount is stout. Probably weighs 15 pounds and is cut from like 3/16 or something close. You could probably even use it for recovery if you ran a strap behind it. Real happy with it and it definitely beats just ziptie-ing it to the tube bumper.

Looks cool the way the angles of your bed supports and spare tire holder line up. Looking good man

How did you like those bilstein/toytec/eibach coilovers? Thinking of going with 5100s and eibachs 3" lift spring....
