No idea on that one. The iPhone 5 cord also uses the hdmi.

Are you hacking the phone or the head unit or both? I searched the app store for iphone extensions and found nothing...

Hacking the iPod. Installed appradio extensions. Hacked my iphone as well so that i can Bluetooth my GPS function TO my iPod as well as wifi via Bluetooth. What that means is, anywhere I have GPS service I have maps available. And I always can surf the web on the head unit now. With the toggle switch I installed I can even do it while not in park.

We had a trail run a few weekends ago and I was watching lord of the rings as we were going slow up the hills. :D

Were you watching the scene where they're trudging up the trail through the snow near Moria?

Imma have to read up on this iPhone hacking thing. I've resisted jailbreaking until now, but this seems like it might be worthwhile. I do wish I could stream audio through the bluetooth but that's a head unit limitation that won't be overcome by hacking the phone. I'll have to see what the functionality's like after I get past the parking brake issue.
