    Hey folks,

I'm looking for a little guidance here on what y'all think my rig is worth these days. I know value is in the eye of the beholder, ie it's worth what someone is willing to pay for it, but curious what you guys think. I opened a small business and am getting ready for a new human baby so this baby is too much tinkering for me these days.

Also wondering if you think it's worth it to get any of this stuff taken care of with my mechanic ahead of a sale or to just sell it as is?

    Specs:
    - 04 3.4L SR5 V6
    - 203K miles
    - Automatic
    - Had a new frame, replacement still pretty rusty but hammer test was still solid
    - Timing belt done not long ago
    - New spark plugs

    Known issues:
    - Needs front strut assembly, left drivers side coil cracked at the very top coil, doesn't really affect drive but needs replacing for inspections
    - eVap leak needs smoke diagnsotic and repair
    - Exhaust rusting out
    - Needs diff cover replacement, comes with a Barnes4WD replacement

Photos below. LMK what you guys think!

Since regional markets are quite different where does the truck live?

So sad so many replaced frames just neglected !

About at the age when lots of catch up maintenance is needing to be done.

It can not hurt to get an estimate of having all that work done it opens your truck to those that really don`t do there own work for what ever reason.

With parts and labor a few thousand dollars worth in these inflated times.

How fast do you need to unload the truck that tends to impact prices.

    Thanks Bivouac,

    - Yeah it's a bummer, the frame was replaced and previous owner didn't take great care of it but I guess neither did I. I've had it for 4 years, I fluid filmed it every year and honestly didn't drive much but I'm northeast coastal so probably accelerated things but like I said, hammer test is still just flakes no cave ins or anything.

    - Truck is located in NH seacoast region about an hour north of Boston and south of Portland, ME.

    - No rush really to move it

    - I had an estimate of about 2400 to fix the issues, probably should have mentioned that, forgot!

Toytec coilovers. Height adjustable Bilstein's. 265/75/16 MT. TRD wheels. Rebuilt r150f. Marlin clutch kit. All kinds of new parts...
Still in decent shape, frame can most likely be saved. I live in the midwest where they salt and mag water the road so every year I am inspecting my frame, fluid filming it - like a ritual and my wife knows to leave me be while I do that dirty job.

Where I live in South Dakota you'd be surprised. Here they are asking anywhere from 6000 to 15K for 1st gens. It's pretty wild but they seem to move every once in a while. If you don't need to sell it stick it on the high end of what you want and see what happens.

I'll warn ya though - you will get those fools who like to bash you for whatever price you are asking. It's a strange internet thing I've yet to grasp. Free market so whatever you wanna ask do it! These pickups are getting more rare and people love em. If you'd had it for that long chances are you will miss it! If it was me I'd keep it and work on it here and there.

Lol, thanks for the heads up. Yeah it's already begun. I asked 6K. I don't believe I will get 6K, it's more of a starting point to come down from. I was hoping for like 3500-4. Seems like some of you think maybe, some of you think maybe not. But the people who come out of the woodwork just to tell you your price is off are funny. Like...do those people run into retail stores just to tell someone the price of something is a joke and then bail? Honestly, those kind of people, maybe they do. Had 2 dudes on Facebook already go multiple messages deep responding just to themselves to tell me, basically, price is too high and they're not interested. Well...cool dudes be gone then! On one hand they're not entirely wrong but I think these things are worth more to the right people — that being said I'm not trying to take advantage of anyone which is why I'm enlisting the help of you, my TacoWorld friends.

He is just mad he doesn't have money to even put up 3k.

Just stop responding is the general plan.

Stand your ground, that truck in parts alone is worth way more than that, the interior is mint!, go try to buy a running 3.4 if you can find one and see what you will pay, your spot on if not a little shy. GLWS.

Wow a Blast from the past fond memories working on the Sea Brook NH never started Power Plant.

Many fond memories in that area hardly seems around 40 years ago.

Go by the high end of the regional market taking into account the cost of the repairs.

Have an idea the rock bottom price you will take.

Let the horsetrading begin. In this part of the world it is a fact of life.

The Tacoma Lust can make sane people do strange things when they are effected.

    Good Luck !

Dudes just used to Chevy's that they can buy for 3k but then have to junk them 3 years later and now can't find good deals anymore because they refuse to admit they've bought garbage their whole life. The rusty spots would turn me away for sure but aside from the exhaust and leaf perches it looks manageable. Think settling on 3k is reasonable, but that shell itself could fetch 1k to the right guy

Hello neighbor. I'm from Hooksett. Around here, private sale, I see maybe 4500... it needs quite a bit.... like the guy above me said, the cap is valuable but the body is nasty and unless you can do it yourself; it's expensive.

I caught a flounder in the warm effluent water of Seabrook Station in 87 or so, it was enormous and had leasions all over it.... spots in the flesh. We used it for bait in Rye lol

If I remember that intake tunnel was 20 some miles long .

So as not effect the coast area all that much.

I never kept track of what was going on I only heard the plant was not going to get a license being to close to Boston . Last I heard it never went online. I see that was not the case.

Out of sight out of mind To many other jobs .

Small world. Thanks for the advice Bivouac.

Appreciate it. Yeah I wasn't really expecting 6K just wanted to be able to come down on it. Maybe I should just list it for what I want, firm. Always tough some people want to haggle so I tried to give room for that, some people would rather just skip the song and dance and get right to it. Not sure which I am haha.

I have a friend who sold his '01, 4wd, extra cab, 4cyl, 5 spd, with almost 300k miles for almost $6k. There wasn't a single panel on the exterior without some sort of damage. The inside had been smoked in, often full of trash and spilled food/drinks (he cleaned it up to an extent). It had water leaking in for a period of time from around the windshield. This was at least 5 years ago, maybe a little longer, but values are up if anything since then. The market here in Cali could be much different than where you are though.

This was TacoCritters second reply, $500 less than his first appraisal. Kinda seems like maybe he's one of those dudes Xbeaus warned me about when he said "I'll warn ya though - you will get those fools who like to bash you for whatever price you are asking. It's a strange internet thing I've yet to grasp."

Who knows. But yeah I think it's worth more than that Critter, seems most others do too. We'll see where it nets out.
