    Hi all!

Saturday i am removing the stock wheels and tires off my 2016 TRD OR 4x4 and installing new 17" TRD SEMA wheels and 265/70/17 BFG KO2's (load range c). Door placard reads 30 psi for the stock rubber... Interested in hearing thoughts and opinions on what PSI to run on the highway with the new set up?

Thanks in advance for your input!!

For your new tire size and load rating, 37 PSI is the corrected number for the 30 PSI Tire Placard recommendation.

The proper way to tell for sure is the chalk test. Super easy and you'll identify the perfect wear point. 37psi sounds way too high and would likely ride like a concrete block. Not that it matters because every setup is a little different but I run my 265/75/16 KO2s at 34 front and 32 rear.

Did you do the chalk test to get those numbers?

Yup, and then adjusted and averaged to get them even.

64k on my BFG load Ds 265/70/16. 46 psi and even wear. 46 what is on the supplemental door sticker. They will go 70k with tread left. I ran 42 psi in my 2009 with 265/75/16 load C Duratracs.

If you do, do it right.
-find a very flat surface for the test; preferably concrete
-chalk tires, drive straight forward and reverse 50'
    -only adjust going down

    Depends...
It doesn't change the fact, 37 PSI is the recalculated Tire Placard PSI.

FWIW I did the chalk test on my '07 and came up with 32-34 for my KO2s. I had 42psi on my older KOs and they wore out uneven. Could have gotten 5K more miles out of them if I'd a done it right the first time.

I am running the same tire at 35 PSI and all seems well.

I'm running 34 up front, 32 out back with the KO2's. I have no weight adding mods like armor and I'm 2nd gen.

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
I'm very curious where this is coming from...

You'll have to forgive my lack of time, can you reference a page on that PDF as I do not have the time at this moment to really digest all of its content. Interesting read, though.

The whole thing is worth the read.

    See page 30
    The stock 265/70/16/112 @ 30psi have a load rating of 2,149 lbs.

    See page 5
GVWR is derated by 1.1 when P/ISO/EURO metric tires are used on trucks/suvs.
    2,149/1.1=1,954

    See page 24
A single application LT265/70/17/C requires 37psi to attain 1,964 load rating.
    35 psi(1,890lb) to 40 psi(2,075lbs) is a 185lb load difference; or 5psi=185lb load difference, or 1 psi=37lb load difference
So, 37 PSI gets you to 1,964 pounds.
