Ken, I'll make sure to take some pics of the install and maybe a video after the install.

Big thanks to Torspd and Grumpy over on XRU for their help on the X1 install.

Install went fairly painlessly except the driver's side cam bolt was a tough one. I would highly recommend you guys get a longer 17mm wrench, preferably offset.

Also, if your truck is an auto, make sure to set in Neutral before you start. This way you don't have to come up with some creative ways to get there after you've taken apart your valve covers.

Lining up the cam gears was pretty simple so I think we got lucky there.

Here is a pic with the passenger side valve cover off. Ready to remove the cam bolt.

It definitely helps having some good people helping you out and good tools obviously. The thermostat and X1 went in with no issues. The truck started just fine and it ran like a champ on the long trip home.

Now for my impressions after driving the truck with the X1:

    Wow!
My truck is so smooth. It revs quicker and you definitely feel the extra HP and torque. I was passing cars left and right with ease. Getting up to 80 mph felt effortless. I'm very pleased with the results so far!

Sounds great! Looks like someone got a little generous with the RTV on the inboard side near the chain. :)

That was there from the factory. Both sides were like that so I guess it's normal. Thanks.

Yes, put in neutral so you can rotate the crank shaft to line up the timing gears.
