I should be able to know if we can commit by Wednesday. Once my wife can get that day off for sure we will be locked in.

Too much to list, but enough to get me in trouble. Repeatedly.
New uniballs, gusseted spindles, wheel bearings, LCA bushings, balljoints, tie rods, tie rod ends. Can't find my poly steering rack bushings.
Now I just gotta finish up my power distribution centers (two) and build a fridge slide.

And maybe with any luck a new 12k synthetic winch, a couple Northstar batteries, and some Camburg UCAs.

All of it either maintenance or upgrades to existing.

Think I can get it all done by the weekend?

I wish I saw this before. I'll be in Ridgecrest for the MORE Race Saturday and leaving to Ballarat with a group of Jeeps Sunday morning. Maybe we'll cross paths.

    Only nine days to go!

For anyone heading to RT'16 who is still on the fence for this trip, it would make a great shakedown run before Moab!

    Nipping away at my list.

Camburgs in. What a difference in alignment!!!
LCA bushings, balljoints, wheel bearings, tie rod ends, tie rods, gusseted spindles all in. Tie rods had some slop.
Power Distribution Center in the bed installed. Gotta try to get the one in the center console done.
Currently working on the bed slide. Welders don't work so well when the neighborhood loses power.
12k synthetic winch in the mail.
Found my poly rack bushings. Now to find time to get them in.

Oh. And still need to prep for the Anti-Dark side of things. Plus a trip to JT for three days next week. And there's Easter.

Skids aren't required, just a good idea. 4x4 and good tires are the only things absolutely required, as well as either a lift or a strap.
You're going to be missing out on a good time!

I know man. I'm afraid I'm going to break some parts of my truck. I tend to push my truck when I'm in a group wheelin. They way you describe the trail makes me pucker up. Lol I'm still learning to wheel. Also I still need to set up my CB

Just follow the same lines as the rest of us.
There's no chance of going fast on this trail, and it's not big boulders, so damage chances are minimal if you behave.
If all else fails and you decide you only want to do it once, you can always hop in someone else's truck at the cabins. That way you only have a single round-trip to do.

My family stayed in Stone for Thanksgiving. Three nights meant three round-trips. Not too terrible.

I've been eyeing this thread :spy: after my trip to JT last weekend that @dtaco06 setup. Problem is I won't know if I can make it until next Thursday. My truck is equipped and I will bring extra items for the cabins. I'm from San Jose so I will most likely meet you guys at Walmart in Ridgecrest. I'll keep you guys updated.

No worries. Last-minute decisions are quite welcome to come, is why I set up a multi-stage meetup.

I'll post my cell number on Thursday, but I'll remove it Friday when I'm in Ridgecrest. Jot it down so that if you are running late or get lost or can't find us, you can reach me and don't get left behind.

And if I get random donation request calls from the Disabled Midget Hookers Association of America, I'm going to hunt each of you down and rub burned gear oil and brake dust into each of your truck interiors.

I traced and cut a new gasket out of a piece of kneeling foam. Gasoline proof, highly compressible, and seals better than the OE rubber. Been using it for years without issue.

    Food coordination.

I know Shane is already off to Joshua Tree already, so he may have his own thing going on.

Are we doing some potluck style stuff, or every man for himself, etc?

Anti-Dark will take care of one meal for everyone. Brad and I are still working out details -- anyone have any preferences?

Otherwise, if y'all want to coordinate a potluck-style shindig, take it away!
