Not sure who cares but I got my FN dmr2 back from FN after damaging my muzzle brake. Took about 3 weeks and cost me nothing. They replaced my muzzle brake and it wasn't even their fault no questions asked. They gave it a thorough barrel and bore inspection and test fired 60 rounds. They determined I had a very very rare instance of a bullet breaking apart right out of the barrel. Very happy with FN.

Now what to do with the suspected bad ammo. I have about 500 rounds left and don't want history to repeat itself. It is the Hornady Frontier 55gr FMJ. Which sounds like other gun websites are blaming for damage. Anyone else hear of anything with hornady frontier ammo?

I was just shopping for ammo and that frontier was a good price but passed on it after seeing your previous post and the comments. Decided on IMI m193.

I'd call manufacturer and see if they'll swap it out, if there's a bad batch (or even they even suspect), they're most likely going to want it back.

I thought about that but not sure what they will do since I bought that specific batch of ammo a year ago and don't know the lot number anymore. I still might try and see what they say.

I doubt they'll care about age. If they're no longer in the box, they'll probably be no help. If you don't reload, and have enough to make it worth his time, offer em up to a competent reloader, and warm him. He'll be able to pull the bullets, and reuse components.

I'm about to put a BCM upper on a PSA lower. Will I get kicked out of this thread?

Friends don’t let friends buy Anderson lowers. Spend a little more and get aero lowers.

I don’t know man. I’ve built a bunch of rifles on PSA, Aero, Anderson, SAA, and a few other fandoms. None of them have problems and all of them shoot extremely well. The lower is practically just a mounting point and a place to hold onto for the stuff that really matters in the upper.

I have a CMMG and 2 PSA lowers, I have no issue building with any lower as long as it’s “Mil spec” and the only parts that I feel I “need” to upgrade is the upper and barrel of my 12.5” PSA upper.

My next full build will actually be all Aero, but I don’t think there’s anything wrong with Anderson

My only reason for wanting an Aero is so I don’t have to fuck with rolls pins or a trigger guard lol

M4E1/M5E1 build sets aren't particularly lightweight, but they are astoundingly easy to assemble. My next full from-scratch build will likely be such a build, probably a precision rig of some kind. I'd love a suppressed
    .308 M110/SR25 knockoff.

Don’t know what I’m gonna do on my next one besides it’s being a 556, 13.5 or 15” Handguard, and a strike Eagle 1-6. Thought about going 14.5 pinned and welded but I wanna get a suppressor with QD flash hider and what not.
