That Razor HD is ridiculous. I love it. I sometimes shoot 600/1000 yards with my rem700 and it is a must have. I was going to buy a Nightforce but picked this up for half the price.

I shoot Harrison's 16" ARP and love it. Muzzle velocity with 120gr pills is around 2400-2500. I've been wanting to buy a 6.8 SBR upper to slap on my .300blk lower but haven't gotten around to it.

The necked version I was referring to is a wildcat. 556x42. You used to not be able to buy the rounds. They had to be hand loaded. It's a 6.8 parent case necked up to .223. I believe a company finally made it a round you can buy and mass produced barrels for it. Believe it is called a .224 Valkyrie.

Harrison from ARP created the 556x42 round and called it the Yote Smoker. Someone took his idea and made it mainstream. Pieces of shit...lol. It was cool when I first had it then that happened. Special dies and all...

    I have a 10.5" 6.8. 90g varmint projectiles do 2400fps with H322. 110g prohunters will do 2700fps out of my 20".

Some folks are going with 277 wolverine to avoid dealing with 6.8spc brass. It's close, but it's not quite the same as 6.8. I don't know anyone who has been able to duplicate MDW load and velocity numbers.... And you're pretty much bound to using 1680.

I was actually trying to take its head off, which normally I probably could...just I forgot that it was a lot closer so it shot low...basically biggest chunk was about the size of a dime.

Yeah, so far that's what I think I'm going to buy, seems to be the sweet spot of quality/$ for my needs/budget. While I really like them; on my budget, I can't justify the costs of S&B, Tangent, etc. I have plenty of time to think about it though, the new bolt gun build is on hold til next year :(

It's the gen1. I stole it on sale at $1900 too. Originally close to $2400. I got the Christmas tree style reticle (I believe it is EBR-1) Love it for long range.

Finally a crappy pic of my 6.8 SPC. I'll probably put a smaller scope, or maybe fixed sites with a red dot. It's next year's hog hunt build, so plenty of time to decide :D. Really, I didn't plan to get it this far so soon. I'll also build a new lower too, the one on it, is from another AR that should be put back together.

The way it sits today, kind of frankengun
    • PSA CHF 14.7" welded muzzle brake
    • Vortex Diamondback 5-25x50, kind of a cheaper scope, it's just okay
    • ADM 20 MOA mount
    • Geissele SSAE trigger
    • Cheap, but functional, Anderson lower

That's a cool looking air register in the background. How old is your house?

I think it was built in 1938. They're ok, but they need attention, or they'll squeak and rattle. I've got two that don't fit so well, whoever redid the floors in those two rooms, laid new floor over old :notsure:
Rather than tear the floors out, I'll probably build another AR or keep building comp bolt gun

Just look at the build thread
What's the best way to price a gun you built yourself? Cant compare it to buying the same gun. Just go based off of what you have in it?

    For reference:
    Aero Lower
    Ergo Grip
    CMC Trigger
    Magpul MOE Rifle Stock
    Wilson 6.8SPC 14.7" Stainless Barrel
    Troy Medeival Brake - Pinned/Welded
    RGuns BCG
    Vortex DiamondBack 3.5-10x50
    Vortex Cantilever Mount

Maybe a couple other small things I forgot.
