What barrel did you go with? Love my 11.5” Enhanced lightweight barrel also on a aero freedom lower. Went with the Sba4 and really wish I would have went with the sba3.

Do you feel like the SBA4 is too bulky? It looks really bulky compared to the SBA3. I'm wanting a SBA3 or SB PDW so just curious to hear from others with experience.

You bet, it’s the opposite of a thicc rail

I got the enhanced lightweight too but they only have the fluted barrel option available at the time. After about 100 rounds, it was honestly too hot to touch without a glove but other than that I love it. I also have a “splitfix” on my sba3 so it makes it much more firm whenever I’m *not shouldering it

Yeah, Sba4 is just too bulky.

Does anyone have experience with New Frontier Armory? I've been thinking about building a 9mm AR and they have lowers that use MP5 magazines. Looks way better than the glock style magazine.

Going through variations on how to distinguish my mags for different calibers ( 5.56 & 300BLK). This is what I came up with for my 300BLK mags. 5.56 mags are plain. What is everyone else doing for this?

    Yeah.
I was having feed issues with some 300BLK ammo, so I got the PMAGs specifically for 300BLK. They are marked 300BLK, but I used bright nail polish to make it stand out. I also used a labeler and made a bunch of 223 labels and stuck them on those mags.

I have seen those. My build is still in progress so it is yet to be seen if I will have issues. But I will keep that in mind for the future

The different color base plates could be used as the identifier.

I had done that out of boredom a while ago but I think you are right. If the tape ever comes off, those will still be there.

Just a little more subtle option than the bright pink.

I've gotten into building AR15 and AR10's. The computer makes it so easy now a days, decades ago, when I was all into the shooting scene in Colorado, I always wanted to build my own guns. But it was super difficult to find where to order what, no computers back then, so you had to go through tons of catalogues and call 50 people to find out I didn't know shit. Been kind of sticking to Aero, good not great, good prices, have Falcon barrel, Ballistic Advantage, have a Wilson 14" 308 barrel coming in the mail to Finnish up a 14" barrel .308.

First time in here, lots of good info, lots of "you'r stuff sucks, mine is better" child's play, but I'm in here now, the gun group can be awfully tough. Still consider myself a novice, just a gun enthusiast.

my 300 build is in progress but I'm going to rit dye some of my sand color pmags.

another thing I do is use Sharpie paint pens which have been holding well up on pmags. I used them on some steel pistol mags but it rubs off.

Don't let em bother you there's a few in every group that feel the need to prop up their egos by putting down others, it's embarrassing really.
Post some pics, we won't poke fun!

The green G.I.Joe gun, .223 mostly Aero, 14.5 inch barrel, muzzle break not pictured, sadly unfired at the range, shoots fine in the back yard.

Big AR10, .308, 24" barrel, Aero upper and lower, Burris 6.5x28, Magpul Stock and bipod. Weighs 16 lbs unloaded.
Having light primer strike problems, have changed the buffer tube, spring and weight, and have a CMC trigger, bang bang bang click, eject live round, bang bang bang bang bang bang click, eject live round. Put as many bangs in there as you want, it'll light strike sooner or later, run a wet BGC, or medium dry, same result.

I've got more, not that I built though. Parts coming in the mail to finish SBR .308, just have to finish the upper when the barrel arrives, hopefully Thursday. I'm way open to suggestions on the big AR10, shoots great, then it messes up, and that messes me up on target.
