As others have said, EOTech has question marks after it. Do your own research and make your own judgement.

I had an XPS-2 on a H&K MR556, which is a lower 1/3 cowitness on that rifle because of the piston system raising the rail up. When I sold that rifle, I had an extra AR sight and also happened to have an H&K 516 in the safe not wearing anything. The two made friends. It is as close to a true cowitness as you can get with an EOTech (see pics).

Again, do your research. Lots of people like them. I generally prefer to favor Aimpoint.

Here is the XPS-2 with Troy BUIS. I couldn't get the reticle to focus, but it gives you an idea of the cowitness.

From what it looks like to the shooter.

Thank you for this objective post. I currently run a Holosun 510c-Gr with one of their x3 magnifiers from time to time on my MP15. I’m wrapping up a 2A build and was offered my pick of the litter from EOTech’s current lineup, and thought I might throw it on the 2A rifle.

SB tactical is pretty much the “go to”, the SBA3 and SBA4 seem to be the most common, I’ll let other chime in on which they prefer (I always SBR) but if you order from SB tactical themselves you can use code “GunFunny15” for a 15% discount.

I've been looking at a Juggernaut build, I like the look of the combo kits they have. Anyone have experience with these guys?

I haven't finished my built but went with the SBA3. Feels pretty much just like a stock. Used some Velcro from my wife's sewing supplies and made a free split fix. Definitely recommend

Yeah. L3/EOtech's fraudulent scam seems to have been lost down the memory hole.

EOTech still has an issue with their sights, but it is significantly less that the issues experienced in the early 2000's. Max thermal drift is been reduced to 3.5moa under extreme conditions with a return to zero of +/- 2moa after such exposure. This is well within the spec for most CBQ ops ranges. I still own one 512 and I keep it on my Vector 9mm, primarily because I am not in a hurry to replace it with something better.

I recall the big $25 million dollar suit and the thermal drift issues. I see too that they picked up another $25 million+ contract with the DOD for lasers. L3 also sold EOTech recently.

Is this just where we are with semiconductor technology? "Extreme conditions" should be considered for military and OpErAtOr types. My application would most likely never fall into either extreme temps category. My house is typically between 65-75 degrees and I probably won't be at the range if it's colder than 50 or warmer than 85 degrees, so thermal drift due to extreme temps is not a concern for me.

    I currently run a Holosun 510c-GR.

I don't really care if there is paralax. And I don't care about how extreme the temp swing needs to be to get parallax. And I don't care how minute the parallax is.....

They advertised their optics (to you, me and to DOD).... as "parallax free" when their shit had parallax. They covered this up for a long time and this was proved in court with a paper trail.

    That is fraud.

True. I feel like I read a recent article that stated there's no such thing as truly parallax free. I'm swinging above my class here but, IIRC, there are certain parameters where parallax is minimized, but never entirely gone.

Agreed, and they paid for it.
