I get charged tax when I order from ammo to go or CTD :( so even though the prices may be cheaper it ends up being more expensive...
PSA has had great deals this summer so far especially with free shipping, that saves $15 right there! too bad they dont have that anymore..

EoTech is pretty big for an offset sight. I have seen offset irons before, maybe look at those.

:woot: thats a good deal, esp since it has some magpul goodies and a rail on it already.

Not sure if it was posted:

All you guys in the Republic of Kalifornia need to sign the pitition for the bullet button. All the law has to do is be signed by the Governor for it to be pass.

If passed we have to give up our AR's!!

It's kinda funny how "new" laws can make criminals out of law abiding citizens. Maybe these lawmakers should make a law to enforce existing laws first. That way, new laws wouldn't be necessary. Keep the criminals in jail/prison, and there won't be criminals breaking laws using firearms, then only law abiding citizens will own firearms and there won't be any fucking crimes.

    I know, only in a perfect world.:notsure:

    Not true.

It passed out of Public Safety Committee.
It has been referred to appropriations.
It has NOT passed the general senate or assembly. It must pass both before being forwarded to Gov Brown.

We will also not "have to give up our ARs"
The law bans certain "conversion kits" and components... as written, it actually bans magazine release components for nearly ANY firearm.
It actually does NOT ban the bullet button.

BTW: Next time you see someone selling the "Mag Magnet" at a gun show, give them a big FUCK YOU because THAT is the device that got us the unwanted attention that created this mess in the first place.

...not so much funny, as fascist... someone, somewhere elects these quixotic officials who think it's there job to heap pile unto pile of laws to reactively prevent any and all aiments - soon enough it's illegal to breathe, but you wouldn't know it w/out sifting through thousands of pages of legalese... we don't need law("makers"), ...what we need are reformers!

rich, ...i'm not familiar w/ the "mag magnet", ...but i'm worried that you're putting the blame on industry innovations, instead of the "people" who put you guys in this position in the first place... it's bad enough gun owners have to walk on eggshells to merely defend a right that's "written down", and internal divisions are beneficial to the opposition...

It's not an "industry innovation"... it's vendors attempting to make a quick buck off of California gun owners and making them felons in the process.

California allows "evil features" on fixed-magazine guns.
The definition of "fixed magazine" is one that "does not have the ability to accept a detachable magazine"

There is a very clear distinction between "attachable" and "able to accept a detachable"

That distinction was codified in the existing law (from the 1989 ban) that allows the fixed-magazine SKS as a non-listed gun.
Further clarifying... VERY short version... if a magazine requires a tool to be removed, the gun is not "able to accept a detachable magazine".
The law FURTHER codifies a bullet tip as meeting the requirement of "tool", as the fixed-mag SKS was designed to have the magazine removed using a bullet tip.

    So moving into the mid-2000s.
The off-list movement begins, and in 2006, the banned lists are locked. Adding new receivers to the lists will require separate legislative action (and a new grace period AND open registration).
The early off-list guns were featureless, or sealed magwells and top-loaded.
Someone decided to push the envelope within the LETTER OF THE LAW and developed the Bullet Button.

This allows a bullet tip, allen key, screwdriver, or pointed stick to be used as a tool to remove a magazine.

    2010:
    The "Mag Magnet" is introduced.
It uses a Neo-magnet to attach itself to the stud in the bullet button and allows the magazine to be removed without a separate tool.
The legal minds that developed the BB in the first place stated that once attached, it was a part of the gun and no longer a "tool"

THE MAG MAGNET LITERATURE ITSELF states that the device may ONLY be used outside of California, or on a rifle with a rimfire upper installed.
This warning is not on the outside of the packaging. You have to open it to see the warning.

Gun show sellers were selling these and not informing their customers of this.
They were demonstrating the device at the gun show on a featureless build (one that does not require a bullet button) so they were legal.
They were REFUSING to demonstrate the device on a customer's gun to "prove" that it would work on their gun if their gun had "features" and required a bullet button.

THESE VENDORS KNEW EXACTLY WHAT THEY WERE DOING, AND THEY KNEW THAT THEY WERE SELLING THESE $25 MAGNETS TO PEOPLE WHO WOULD USE THEM TO CREATE AN ASSAULT WEAPON UNDER CALIFORNIA LAW.

So yes... blame needs to be placed on the politicians who have created this clusterfuck, but the problem is, even though geographically, the majority of California is a "red" state, the liberal welfare population centers in Los Angeles and San Francisco control Sacramento and there is nothing that will ever change that. District boundaries are carefully drawn with a "gentleman's agreement" that make sure that seats never change parties.
When someone from the opposing party runs, they get virtually no funding from their party.... This is not a problem with the voters, it is corruption that goes to the leadership of both parties.

But in this case, the Mag Magnet was SPECIFICALLY mentioned in the original drafts of Senator Yee's bill.
The blame for this bill falls DIRECTLY on the vendors pushing this device.

Senator Yee no longer supports this bill. The NRA, and the Calguns Foundation helped him to see the flaws in the wording of the bill, which inadvertently classifies even a magazine release part for a 1911 as an outlawed "conversion kit"
Unfortunately, two of Yee's staffers have continued to push this bill through committee even though Yee has withdrawn his support.

So in this case, the vendors selling the Mag Magnet, and two unelected staff members are the "bad guys"

rich, thanks for bringing me up to speed on this, sorry if i jumped the shark! ...yes, what a clusterF is right... sounds like deceptive vendors... and, so now you are saying that yee has reniged on "his own" bill, ...but his "staffers"? are lobbying the bill still? - who's the boss?... yee or his staffers - i don't get it! but it's kalifornia!

Unfortunately, the bill was already in the Public Safety Committee before Yee pulled his support.
It passed out of PS on 7/3 and moved to Appropriations.
Assuming it passes out of there, it will move to either the Assembly or the Senate (I'm not sure which gets it first).
It will either be passed as-written, passed with amendments, or rejected.
If rejected, it's dead. If passed, it goes to the other house.
At that point, it will again either be passed as-written, passed with amendments, or rejected.
If rejected, it's dead. If passed as-written, it goes to the Governor. If it is passed with amendments, then it goes BACK to the first house for their approval of the amendments. It then moves to the Governor if they accept it.

The last time we had unfavorable gun bills passed back to the Assembly, they sat on them until the session closed and the bills died. No filibuster, they just spent time going back and forth on several other bills until the clock ran out and something like 15 bills died that evening.

AND.... Even if this passes and goes to Brown, he has not been unfriendly to gun owners. As Attorney General, he reduced the size and funding of the Bureau of Firearms... basically cut it's status from a "department" to a "Bureau"... and refused to prosecute a number of cases that involved off-list receivers and the bullet button.
Even the leadership at the Calguns Foundation (speaking as individuals, CGF is a 501c3 and does not take political positions) openly supported Brown over Meg Whitman. Why? Meg owned eBay. eBay and Paypal's 2A stance is no secret, and Meg indicated during her campaign that our gun laws were not strong enough.

To date, there has not been one single successful prosecution of a case involving a legally-configured "evil black rifle". There have been hundreds of arrests and confiscations, and the guns have been returned and charges dropped.

wow, unbelieveable - so this "yee" dude basically created a runaway train... ...i handn't suspected brown could be a "check" against the anti's baffonery- let's hope it doesn't get that far, but in case it does, he shows some sensability and loyalty...

Fact of the matter is that it should never have been an issue because California's gun laws are unconstitutional. I hate that someone worked yall like that, but that is like getting mad at someone selling spring water in a desert and finding out it is sewage. Fact of the matter is that its the desert making you thirsty.
