There must have been another one as well, as I was a civilian contractor for Lockheed and was leaving base just after it happened and was redirected to the Bayshore back gate security as that gate was shut down and found out the next day what happened.

If it's really just for a plinker with some glass, I have the Strike Eagle on one of mine in an Aero mount and it is more than sufficient for breaking clays on a dirt hill at 200 yards... and then breaking up the broken pieces into little bits of orange gravel.

When doing run and gun stuff it's perfect, but I found it a tiny bit high for precision work. I added some yoga mat foam to the stock and it's way better now, with no loss of shoot ability on the move.

Anyone had issues with surefeed mags? I have 6-8 of them that after 3 out of a 4 day class with roughly 1000 rounds through the collection of them have failed and consistently double feed now. They’ve been ran hard but not abused and slapping in a newer pmag I had no issues as with the surefeeds I couldn’t do an entire mag without one to two double feeds.

I have a few Surefeeds and I don’t remember having any problems out of them. Of course I didn’t shoot thousands out of them either. Pmags are the ticket, that’s all I shoot meow.

Was bored this evening so I cleaned 3 AR's and my 870.

And swapped optics on a couple. Removed the VX-R Patrol 1.25-4 and the Geissele low profile folding sights from my FN (16") as it felt a little on the heavy side and installed on my BCM Recce 16". Still feels good. Pulled the MRO and Troy folding sights from the BCM and mounted on the FN and that feels better as well.

Yea, I use Pmags for almost everything. They are cheap and work.

I have some 20rd Surefeeds for bench shooting. The rest of my Colt aluminum mags are really just because I like collecting them.

I use the 10 round Pmags for bench shooting. Very unobtrusive.

Are they the E2? Surefeed should be good to go and are some of the best GI mags made

I mostly use pmags and have never had an issue with them. I picked up some of the D&H teflon coated aluminum mags with Magpul followers from BCM back when you could get them for $10-11 apiece. Don't have as many rounds through those but I haven't had any issues with them either.

PSA has the D&H mags, with magpul follower, they're PSA branded. They're $11.99 now, but good price still on a good magazine. I might has a few from the $10.99 days :D

I’m not home to actually build it but here’s a rough mock-up of my 10.5” pistol build that will happen next time I’m home.
The rail and optic will be different (radical firearms MLok hand guard, and Holosun 503) but otherwise it should be pretty darn close.
I’m going to also have a TLR-1HL on it as well as sling and BCM KAG.
